Allison

"Thanks for coming to get me." I sniffle trying to hold back the tears. I've been crying non stop. I just can't seem to digest what happened with my dad. I guess I was expecting a different reaction from him. I thought the talk would go differently where he'd apologize to me and reassure me that all everything be okay. But all I got in return was a door slamming in my face.

"Anything for you, bambina." His face void of emotions. I called Luca to fetch me from my house. I feel like he's the best person to be with right now.

He brought me to his condo. I knew he had to have one. I just knew it.

"Tell me what happened."
"I-I'd rather not. I don't want to talk about it. Not now."
"Okay, bambina. Is there anything I can do for you to make you feel better?"
"No, not reall— actually I would like to see my best friend."
"You can call her to come here. I'm not letting out of my sight."
"Thanks, I'll just send her my location." I take my phone out of my bag and begin typing.
"Mmm. You hungry?"
"Uhm... No but I'd like ice cream, vanilla. And any dark liquor." I'm about to drown myself in my miseries.
"I have gelato which I think you would love." He disappears from the room and returns after a few minutes with ice cream in a bowl but no alcohol.
"Uhh, where's my drink?"
"No alcohol for you. I can get you water."
I kiss my teeth getting annoyed. Water my ass. Who does he think he is deciding what I can or cannot drink.

"Imma just leave then." I say getting up and putting my shoes on.
"No, Beauty. Don't go." He sets the bowl of ice cream on the night stand then kneels to remove my heels from my feet and throws them far from my reach. I kiss my teeth.
"Dude, those are two thousand dollar red bottoms. You better treat them with care."
"I can get you ten more pairs." He grins.
"Not the same kind, dumbass. Those are special. Okay? Limited edition, you can't find them no more. Now bring me my shoes." I shoo him.
"You don't have to leave. Your friend is already on her way, right?"
"Yes I can leave. I'll wait for her to get here so I can leave with her."
He gets up groaning.
"Bambina, why are you being difficult?"
"I'm not being difficult. I'm simply getting my ass out of here." He sits next to me and looks at me.
"I may not know what you're feeling or going through but I understand. And you don't have to get drunk to feel better. You know that, right?"
"How can you understand what you don't know?"

Before he can answer my phone vibrates. It's Kells calling. I pick up and listen to what she has to say then hang up.
"Tell your men to let my friend through she's down by the lobby." That was quick, she must have been somewhere close.
"Okay." He gets up and I follow him to the living room where he lets his people know to let Kells up through an intercom. I comfortably place myself on the couch.

"So, what is your friend like?" He asks sitting across me.
"What do you mean?" What does he want to know about Kells.
"Like how is she?" I raise my eyebrow. "You want to impress her or what?"
"She's important to you and you're important to me."
"Right. Okay. Don't worry you'll see. You'll either love her or hate her." I smirk.

"Bitch, I'm here!" Kells yells stepping out of the elevator. She's always one to announce her arrival or presence. I stand up to meet her half way. We hug each other. "I missed you." I mumble close to tears. All the emotions I felt earlier are coming back. Kells makes me feel home and safe. She's the best friend I ever had. She's obviously the only friend I had and have and she means a lot to me. And I feel so bad that I can't tell her what's going on in my life right now. I'm scared about what Luca would do to me or her if I confide in her but I really need her advice. Even if she doesn't have any advice to offer I just need to tell her how I'm feeling. She'll understand me and offer the support I need.

"Mama's here." She pats my back then lets go and looks around the condo whistling.
"Dang girl! This place is fly."
"Yeah, I guess." I shrug my shoulders.
"Who's that man?" She looks at Luca skeptically with squinted eyes. Yeah, I know this look. She gives this look to people all the time.
"That's Luca."
"Am I supposed to know who Luca is? Elaborate."
I look at Luca to find him looking at us with interest.
"Uhm... Apparently he's the one I was supposed to get married to first before...the other one."
"Say what now?! Whew Chile, your dad sure knows how to pick them." She fans herself with her hands.
"I need water first then you can continue telling me everything afterwards while sitting down cause I don't think I can take this while standing."
"Right, okay." I turn to face Luca who looks angry. Oh well.
"Uhm, Luca? Water for Kells, please." I tell him. He nods his head and goes to the kitchen. I take Kells with me to the lounge where we can sit and talk.
