It was a freezing February night. The wind outside was whispering shouts into the void, causing everyone to shiver. The Losers club were spending the night at Richie's house. Everyone was partying and laughing. Tonight was the night Pennywise vanished into the abyss... for now, and everyone was celebrating.

All except for Richie and Eddie, who were talking quietly in a room away from everyone. They weren't huge fans of parties anyway.

Eddie's PoV:
My breathe caught in my throat and my eyes were squeezed shut. I had these flashbacks every night; I mean, I was traumatized by the events that happened last year. My world completely turned upside down! I was too caught up in my thoughts to even notice that Richie had moved closer to me. Suddenly, everything around me was spinning like a tornado. I could barely see the details of Richie's face as he was taking to me. I felt like I was going to pass out and I felt my knees go weak.

Richie's PoV:
I was trying to talk to Eddie, but he looked at me like he was looking through a window. So, without hesitation, I grabbed Eddie's hand and led him to the bathroom. As soon as we were inside the bathroom, I slowly pulled Eddie down to kneel next to me. I was never good at things like this.
"Okay, Eds, do you have you inhaler?" I asked softly. Eddie didn't even answer to correct me on the name, he just looked down and was trying to breathe. I was getting really worried.
"Eds, look at me. Just look at me and focus on the sound of my voice," I said quietly. Eddie looked up at me and was still gasping for air. I looked at him and just held onto him. I didn't know what to do, I was in a crisis.
Finally, after much consideration, I didn't know why I did it, maybe it was out of fear or maybe it was how close he was to me...

Eddie's PoV:
I was looking up at Richie in confusion as I was trying to catch my breath. Richie was taking a deep breath... When did he get this close to me?

Richie's PoV:
I closed my eyes and leaned down so that Eddie's forehead was touching mine. Our lips were so close that they could touch. After some time, I closed the space between us and connected our lips. I felt myself turn bright red. I also didn't miss the fact that Eddie had gasped into my mouth.

Eddie's PoV:
I closed my eyes and felt something warm press up against my forehead, and then I felt another sense of warmth but also sweet taste on my lips. It was Richie. Richie was kissing me, but why? I didn't understand, but before I knew it, I was kissing him back. I don't know why I did it. This was all so confusing.

Richie's PoV:
I expected Eddie to be surprised and maybe even pull away. However, what I didn't expect was Eddie to lean into me and kiss me back. This wasn't a confession of feelings, or maybe it was. I was just trying to help Eddie... Now he made me feel things. My emotions are all over the place, and now I feel like I can't breathe.

After a while, they both pulled away and sat next to each other; both of them smiling like idiots.
