True Feelings

Chapter 5

2 weeks later

Nini POV

It has been so hard to ignore Ricky and everybody else. I know I don't have to ignore the rest of my friends but if I didn't I know it would result in me talking to Ricky. I couldn't do that.

Now Ricky sits at Abby's table every other day. So they sit at Abby's table then Ricky's table. I sit with a friend I met a couple weeks ago. His name is Ethan.

He is so sweet. And honestly he is so cute. We have almost all of our classes together. At lunch I sit with his friends. I sit right next to Ethan and this girl named Serenity. Ethan puts his arm around me like Ricky used to.

I feel like I can tell him anything, and I can trust he won't tell anybody. Serenity is the nicest person in the planet. She barely ever swears, never drinks or does drugs, and always apologizes for the smallest things.

Right now we are at lunch and I'm walking to Ethan's table. I get there and sit where I always do. Ethan puts his arm around me but pulls me closer to him so I'm sitting against him.

I look over to my friends, cause I feel bad for ditching them without saying anything, and they are all looking at me. Even Ricky, he looks upset. I don't know why he would.

"Hey Nini, can i ask you something?"

"You just did." I giggled.

"Okay, can I ask you two things?"

"You did."

"When?"

"Just now."

"Ha ha, funny." He said in a sarcastic tone. "But seriously, I have to ask you something important." I nodded, having him continue. "Do you want to..." he paused. I knew what he was gonna say.

"Yes. I would love to go on a date with you." He smiled so big. He stood up and put his hand out. I grabbed and he picked me up and spun me around. I was laughing so hard.

I told him I want to talk to my other friends so he let me go. I walked over to Ricky's table and I asked if I could sit. They all said sure. I sat by Ricky and EJ.

"Look guys, I'm sorry for ditching you. I can't really tell you why but I'm really sorry. Is there anyway you can forgive me?" They all looked at each other and then started laughing.

"Of course Nins, we missed having you here. I'm glad your staying for good now." Ricky said. Abby looked so jealous.

"Oh, I'm not." They all looked at me. "I'll still sit here but it's not permanent, and that's because..." they all looked worried. "Ethan asked me out!"

All the girls (plus Seb and Carlos but minus Abby) started screaming, but not super loud where everyone could hear us.

"I'm happy for you Nini. Glad you got over your other crush." Abby said.

"Who was your other crush?" Ricky asked.

"Oh she didn't tell you? It was y-"

"It doesn't matter. That's over. I don't like them now." I looked at Abby but she didn't looked like she believed it. "I'm just so happy he asked me on a date. It feels so surreal."

"Oh it's real Nini." EJ said. "I sit by Ethan in science, he won't shut up about you."

"Well I got to go, bye babe." Ricky just left. It was really weird. I wonder why he left. He didn't even kiss Abby goodbye. She was left waiting for a kiss but didn't get one.

"I'm gonna go back to Ethan, bye guys." They all said bye, except Abby because why would she? I walked back over to Ethan's table. He saw me and started smiling. He got up and hugged me, I hugged him back.

I was so happy, he makes me happy.

2 weeks later

Nini POV

It's been two weeks since my first date with Ethan. It went so well. He ended up taking me to the lake. We had a picnic and went swimming. While we were swimming he grabbed me and kissed me.

It was so good. It wasn't my first kiss but it was my first one in a while. My first kiss was with Ricky in 7th grade.

Flashback
Nini POV

It's a Friday night and I'm having a sleepover at Gina's house. She came to school this year and we immediately clicked. It's gonna be a group sleepover. It's going to be me, Gina, Ricky, Big Red, Kourtney, and EJ.

So far we have played a lot of games. But now we are playing spin the bottle. It was my turn to spin. It landed on Ricky. This was okay because I sort of had a crush on him.

I got up and walked over to him. He stood up and we kissed. It wasn't long but it also wasn't short. This is the best day of my life, I thought.

End of Flashback

I really like Ethan. He is such a sweet, and handsome, guy. It really helps to fill the void that I have with Ricky. I have started to hang out with them more lately. Ever since I told them about Ethan.

Ricky is still with Abby which makes me upset, that he can't even see what she is doing to me. But I can't loose him or hurt him. He really likes her, I don't want to ruin that.
