True Feelings

Chapter 4

Nini POV

I am sitting in the music room when I see Abby coming in.

"What are you doing here?"

"Cut the crap Nini. I know you like Ricky."

"N-No I-I don't."

"Yeah you do. And if you don't stay away from him I swear to God I'll-"

"You'll what?" I wasn't scared of her. There was nothing she could say to make me stay away from him.

"I'll hurt him. In the worst way possible." Well maybe that. But I won't break.

"Well to bad because he's my best friend. He will know something is up if I don't talk to him. I'm not staying away from him."

"You're such a bitch." She came over to me and slapped me. Hard. It was so hard that I fell backwards into the chair I was sitting in. She walked out as I was holding my cheek.

Abby POV

I know I probably shouldn't have done that but she deserved it. She's trying to take my boyfriend away from me.

I was walking back to the cafeteria but I ran into someone. It was Ricky.

"Hey Ricky. What are you doing?"

"I was looking for you, you were gone for a while."

Ricky POV

Abby was going to the bathroom. She left a little after Nini did and now she's been gone for a while. I'm getting kind of worried. I told everyone I was gonna go look for her.

I was walking to the bathrooms looking for her when I ran into someone while turning a corner. It was Abby.

"Hey Ricky. What are you doing?"

"I was looking for you, you were gone for a while."

"Yeah I went to the bathroom and redid part of my makeup. Don't want to look ugly."

"You would never look ugly, even if you weren't wearing makeup."

"Aww thanks baby." I leaned down to kiss her. I felt someone looking at us so I broke the kiss. I looked up and saw Nini walking away from us.

"Yo Nini." She turned around and started walking toward us. Abby grabbed my hand and interlocked our fingers. She put her head on my shoulder.

"What's up Ricky?"

"Do you want to hangout after school? We can go to your house and watch movies like we did last night."

"Umm..." She looked at Abby for some reason. "I...I don't k-know Ricky."

"Come on, it will be like old times."

Nini POV

"Umm..." I looked at Abby, she was giving me the death glare. "I...I don't k-know Ricky."

I really wanted to say yes. But I don't want Abby to hurt Ricky. I wanted to tell him about what she did, but he would believe her. I don't know what to do.

"Come on, it will be like old times."

"Sorry but I can't today, my moms want to hang out today."

"Oh...okay." I started to walk away when Ricky grabbed my wrist. "What happened to your cheek? It's all bruised."

"Oh, that umm..." I didn't want to say it was Abby, he seems happy and I don't want to ruin that. "I ran into someone in the hallway on the way to the music room. It's no big deal, it just hurts."

"Do you want me to take you to the nurse?" Abby asked me. Why would she ask me that?

"Umm no that's oka-"

"That's a great idea Abby. My best friend and my girlfriend bonding. I like the sound of that. I'll let you two go then." He kissed Abby on the lips then came and kissed me on my bruised cheek. I was scared of what Abby was gonna do.

"You better stay away from him Nini. You don't know what I'm capable of." She said once Ricky was gone.

"I will, don't worry. I don't want you to do anything."

"You can find the nurse's office by yourself, right?" I nodded. "Good, you might want to get going, it looks even worse." She slapped me again. Then again.

Now I was on the floor. She hit me so hard it hurt. I was starting to cry. She kicked me in the stomach before she walked away.

"Have fun Nini." I went to the nurse's office really slow. She kicked me so hard I could barely breath. The nurse was very confused on what happened but I told her what I told Ricky but I added a little more since it's worse now.

"I told you already, I ran into someone and that's how I got the bruised cheek."

"What about your stomach?"

"I was walking and someone opened a door and it hit me."

"Okay fine. I believe you." She gave me an ice pack and let me go to class. I didn't want to go because I sit by Ricky in this class. I walked into class and everyone's eyes were on me.

I walked to my spot after I gave the teacher a late pass from the nurse. Ricky looked concerned for me. He kept trying to talk to me but I kept ignoring him.

He eventually gave up. I finished the school day without talking to any of my friends. I don't know what I'm going to do.

Should I keep ignoring everybody?

Or should I take the chance of her hurting Ricky?

I can't let her hurt Ricky. Looks like I have to find new friends.
