We almost finished my room. We finished painting, got all the furniture in, and we are finishing decorating. Tomorrow's Christmas so we took a break for today and tomorrow.
Today we are spending time with our extended families. So I won't see Ricky till tomorrow for dinner. Our parents said they wanted us to see each other so we are coming back in the morning. I honestly can't wait to see him and give him my gift.
I know you all want to know what I got him but I can't tell you just yet. You'll find out tomorrow.
Anyways, it's currently 7am and we are on our way to my grandma's. She lives about 3 hours away and they wanted to have brunch. We'll be there about 10am. All of my family is gonna be there. We are all gonna eat and just have fun hanging out. Then we are leaving around 5pm so we can get home early enough to finish gift-wrapping.
3 hours later
We finally arrived and I'm so excited to see all my family. We walked inside and were greeted by all my cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents. We all said our hellos then walked into the kitchen.
There was a lot of food. There was pancakes, hash browns, egg-bake, french toast, bacon, ham, eggs, waffles, and a lot more.
We started eating and were just talking to each other. We spent about an hour and a half eating. Then we had to clean up. I helped do dishes, clean the table, and clean the counters. After we were done we went into the living room to open presents.
We all ended up with 2-3 each since there are a lot of us and nobody can afford a lot of gifts. We open our gifts youngest to oldest, which kind of sucks cause I'm the oldest kid. It took forever to get to me.
When I finally got to open my presents I was so happy. I got a necklace that said my name and a new lamp I wanted for my room.

"Oh my gosh, thank you!"
"Everyone helped on these gifts. We wanted to get you something we knew you would want and your moms said you wanted a lamp and they showed us which one you wanted." I went up to hug everyone.
"Thank you all so much! It's perfect!" I started crying. "I love it!"
We spent a half hour finishing opening presents then started cooking for 'dinner.' Since we are leaving early, we have to eat early. It took a while to cook but it was finally all ready.
We had a pasta bar. It had three different types of pasta and three different types of sauce. So you can pick whatever pasta and sauce, or no sauce, you want. (This is what my family does for Christmas, it's sooo good.)
We had a lot of fun today. It was nice seeing them after everything that has happened. I missed my family and just being with the people that make me happy. I'm not saying that Ricky doesn't make me happy or my friends don't make me happy. They always make me happy, but I needed to be with other people for a day.
