"So how did it go?" I asked my sister Veronica as she bounced toward me

"I think it went well, all I need to do now is get closer to her brother considering she's totally reserved. I think she's still hung up about her dad.

"We need her and not her brother, if we don't get her and stop her, we're going to have a crisis on our hands" I warned my sister of the impending doom

"I know but I think I have a shot at brother than at her, I don't think she's interested in girls anyway" Veronica explained how Annie totally shut her down, I guess it's up to me to make my move.

"Did you even try to flirt with her or something?" I asked cause I know my sister can sometimes disregard instructions and try to get her own way

"Didn't bother trying, I know she has a crush on Henry, I always see her longing towards him but although he completely ignores her like most boys do cause they're oblivious and if you're so intent on getting this done why don't you go woo her yourself" she taunted. I think Veronica is convinced I have a crush on her.

"Maybe I will" I fired back.

I have been having constant visions of what is to come and it all ties down to Annie; she's going to bring back the darkness to Salem and this time there might be no stopping it. Granny always narrated how her grandparents fought against the armies of the undead and how they managed to seal them by banishing Lilith back to hell.

The prophecy has foretold that Lilith will once again roam the earth with her army of the undead bringing forth destruction to the descendants of the witches who banished her and once again conquering the human world.

Ever since my parents strange death a year ago, I have taken it upon myself to make sure that doesn't happen.

"Blaine, help me get that knife from the kitchen" my granny requested. I was in my room but I had to run down to get it for her, sometimes Granny barely moves, I think age is beginning to catch up on her and she always asks for oddest of things. As moved towards the door I stared at my reflection and noticed my hair was a total mess and my deeply tanned skin was dull, ever since my parents died, things have never been the same, I think I lost a piece of myself but now I'm more focused on harnessing my magical as an attempt to stop the prophecy from ever being fulfilled.

Reaching the kitchen, I decide to try out some of my tricks.

"Suret lica" I muttered and the knife flew over my head with tremendous speed, I had to duck

"Blaine!!!" I heard my granny yell from her room, I guess the knife hiting the wood made a little bit of ruckus and I pulled it out and head to granny's room to hand it to her.

"Blaine, I've warned you, you have to be careful with your powers, they're not to be used for mere parlor tricks. You're a descendant from a line of very powerful witches" she spoke with her calming poetic voice and her eyes turned glassy as she spoke. She's blind but granny still looked so young, you would think she was actually my mom with her beautiful black skin and her unwavering smile that never faltered despite losing her son; my dad.

"I'm sorry Granny, so what are we up to?" I asked as I handed her never the knife, which she collected from my hand with precision like she could see me handing it to her.

"I sense a darkness coming" she pricked her finger with the knife and place it on a map, the drop of blood started moving and stopped at Salem. "Her demons are being drawn here, she's coming" granny said in a tone I've never heard before, it was complete fear.

"How do we stop them" I asked sensing immediate dread of what is to befall our town

"Sniff them out and end them before the bring forth the mother of all monsters" she warned and I quickly nodded and left to perform a little ritual of my own.

Heading straight to my room, I drew a pentagram on the floor and chanted out the words.

"Lacrus Vesea de veil" I continued to repeat the spell. I was able to see through the void and connect with my ancestors.

Five of them were already here, vampires and werewolves were already in our midst. Our town is about to feel the heat of this dangerous creatures. I lied down after being exhausted from the spell, connecting with dead always drained me.

"Blaine!!!" I could hear Veronica yelling my name, looking at the clock in my room, it was 8 AM already, I was so late for school.

I hurriedly took my bath and put on a tee shirt and some blue jeans and ran down to meet up with Veronica.

"When did you get back yesterday?" I asked her as I moved towards granny's room.

"Stayed out late with Henry" she said it like she was on a date with him

"You mean stayed out late stalking him" I quipped

"At least I've got someone to stalk unlike scaredy cat who can't admit he's got a crush on a lil white girl" she retorted

"Hey! She's not just some white girl" I ranted

"Whatever lover boy, just say hi to her or something?" I sighed and knocked at granny's door, she never stays up this long in her room

"Come in Blaine" she gave permission for me to enter and I twisted the door handle and entered into her room.

"How did you know it was me? You've got to teach me that trick" I smiled as I approached her, she was still wearing her night gown and her hair was grey with some black strands still sticking out.

"It's not a trick Blaine, anyway did you get any answers yesterday. I can't risk trying out spells at this my age." She mumbled while sitting calmly on her bed.

"Werewolves and vampires are already here" I said, informing her of what I saw last night

"You have to stop these demons of hers" she warned me about their powers and how they're here to resurrect their mother.

I pondered over the fact that we were about to be invaded by vampires and werewolves who probably were already here.
