Seungmin walked into his first-period class early the next morning and with a smile on his face

Of course, he would be happy, specifically happy to see Felix. Felix kissed him back yesterday so considering that and everything else Seungmin was now confident that the feeling was mutual and that Felix liked him back

He had no reason to think otherwise

~Hi, I'm sorry that I was annoying yesterday but now you know. I thought I made it really obvious but anyways, I hope you have an amazing day! I'll see you at lunch <3

Seungmin looked at the note after he wrote it but suddenly jumped slightly when he saw someone walk through the door

"Hi Minnie" Haneul said as he walked up to him and Seungmin quickly moved his hand to cover the writing

"Hi...I forgot that you were in this class" Seungmin laughed awkwardly "Let's go ask where you are supposed to sit" he said as he pulled Haneul's hand to get him away from Felix's desk

Haneul introduced himself to the teacher who didn't seem to care much about him being in the class as he lazily pointed to the desk right next to Felix's which just so happened to be free

"Oh, I get to sit next to you!" Haneul said excitedly, assuming that Seungmin sat there since he was standing by the desk when he walked in

"Actually you sit next to Felix" Seungmin sighed

"Oh...I don't like Felix" Haneul confessed as Seungmin looked at him in a judgemental way, wondering how anyone could not like Felix

"Why not?"

"You both seem really close and...I miss you" Haneul admitted as Seungmin stayed quiet, not sure how to respond to that

Luckily the bell rang and Seungmin went to his desk and avoided looking over at Haneul which also meant he couldn't look at Felix to see his reaction to his note...but maybe that was a good thing

Once the bell rang Seungmin tried to walk over to Felix's desk to talk to him but Felix packed up and left before Seungmin had the chance to

"Can I walk you to your next class?" Haneul questioned as Seungmin turned around to face him

"Umm" Seungmin replied as he glanced at Felix's desk and saw that he didn't write anything back "no, it's okay" he said before quickly walking away

He was kind of upset that Felix didn't write anything back but he assumed that Felix just didn't see it. He hadn't been writing in the past few days anyway so he maybe Felix just forgot

Seungmin was also confused by what Haneul said but he hoped that he just meant that he missed them being close as friends

~~~time skip to lunch~~~

Seungmin walked into the cafeteria and looked around for Felix but didn't see him at his usual table

He suddenly felt someone walk up next to him and say 'hi'

"Hey Haneul...you can go sit with Hyunjin and Innie, I need to go talk to someone" Seungmin explained as he walked away to go ask Chan and Changbin if they knew where Felix went before Haneul had the chance to stop him

"Hey, do you know where Felix is?"Seungmin asked

"He's in the library" Changbin replied as Chan looked at him in disbelief

"I don't think you should go there though" Chan added and Seungmin looked at them, confused

"Why not?"

"It's nothing, I'm sure he'll be happy to see you" Changbin reassured as Chan glared at him

"Okay, bye" Seungmin said as he walked away to go find Felix

He walked into the library and looked around until he finally saw Felix sitting at a table by himself in the corner with his head laying on his arms

"Hey" Seungmin greeted as he sat down next to him, causing Felix to sit up and looked at him with a scared facial expression

"Why are you here?" Felix asked but regretted it once he realized how rude it sounded "I mean...how did you know I was here?"

"Changbin told me" Seungmin responded with a smile as he grabbed Felix's hand but Felix pulled it away causing Seungmin to pout

"Seungmin..."

"Yeah?"

"I- I don't like you" Felix explained "not as anything more than a friend"

Seungmin paused for a moment to comprehend what Felix had just said but it didn't make sense

"Then why did you kiss back yesterday?" Seungmin questioned as he felt his eyes get watery. He was hoping that this was just Felix pulling some type of weird messed up joke even though the serious look on his face was telling him otherwise

"It was just an in the moment thing. I wasn't thinking"

"What about when you asked me on a date?"

"I just didn't want you to go on a date with Changbin" Felix admitted as he tried to avoid eye contact, hating knowing that he was the cause for the tears streaming down Seungmin's face

Felix wanted to hug him and apologize but he knew that doing that would just make the situation worse

"Why not?"

"Because I didn't want to lose you as a friend" Felix explained, although now he was worried that he was going to lose him anyways

"You do realize that you lead me on right?" Seungmin asked as he forcefully wiped the tears off his face "I'm so freaking dumb"

"I'm sorry" Felix mumbled

"It's fine. I've only had a crush on you for two years and you only made me almost 100 percent sure that you felt the same way" Seungmin responded sarcastically as he stood up from his seat "I'm gonna go now...bye Felix"

Felix watched Seungmin walk away as he felt hot tears fall down his own face

He felt guilty for crying but he couldn't help it

He didn't even understand the point of anything anymore. Felix avoided dating his whole life because all he was scared to be in a relationship, he didn't want to end up like his parents

He had to grow up hearing constant arguments every day until his parents finally admitted to themselves that they didn't love each other anymore and it may seem selfish but he didn't want to take the risk of going through the same thing

Even if he did love Seungmin now he was worried that the feelings would fade

Sure, he felt sparks fly when Seungmin kissed him but all sparks eventually burn out...right?

At least that was Felix's mindset...for now
