Wow, my roommate is going to a school for supernaturals and doesn't even know she is one. Sad. Claire looked at me, her eyes pretty much bulging out of their sockets.
"What are you?" I asked.
"I'm not anything, I'm just normal" Claire replied. She obviously wasn't gonna listen to reason, so I decided to demonstrate. I closed my eyes and willed myself to change. I could feel it happening and opened my eyes to see her look of shock. Like I suspected, her mouth hung open and her eyebrows were raised to the point where they couldn't raise anymore. I looked at my hands and they were paws and the transformation was complete.
Claire seemed to have recovered from her shock. She said something but it was hard to make out, kind of like when you are learning a language and someone speaking that language talks to you and you are not quite sure what they said.
Claire either said,"That's probably a projection, I can usually tell when I am being duped" or "A lottery extraction can help thai soup" I am going with the first one.
I figured she needed some more proof, so I walked over and nipped her not enough to hurt for more than three seconds but enough to show that this was NOT a projection.
Claire then said either, "Ow that hurt" or "Wow laugh twerp" again, going with the first one.
Then Claire said, "Change back" I knew that was what she said because I had heard it so much when I was learning to change. She placed a hand on my head to feel it turn from wolf to human.
She looked at me and said, "Okay, I believe you. But I am not sure I am one."
"You have to be one or you wouldn't be here. They never make mistakes. My parents worked here before we were attacked. If you want to know what you are, I'll just do some tests" I sniffed and smelled the faint smell of pine trees, probably from outside. The smell was faint enough that only a werewolf could smell it.
"Can you smell pine trees?" I asked. Claire closed her eyes and breathed in really deeply.
"A little" she replied.
"Okay, maybe your a werewolf. But let's make sure you aren't anything else. Next test, see that book over there? Try to make it come to you" Claire looked at the book and concentrated. All of a sudden, the book fell of the table but didn't move at all after wards.
"Maybe to that too. All right, see this cup of water?" I picked up a cup of water from the desk to my right and splashed it on Clarie.
"What was that?" She yelled. "Was that a test to see if I was a mermaid?" I looked at her legs and their form seemed to flicker a couple times. Maybe to that as well. "Kind of, they prefer to be called water nymphs." I replied.
"What about me being a vampire? Can't you test that?" Claire asked. I looked at the sunset, it was
reddish-orangish. "See that" I pointed at the window, "The sunset is only that color on blood days, the days that make it easier to transform for vampires. If you're a vampire, then you'll most likely transform soon. If that does happen, we should probably go outside.""Then let's go" Claire said. She put down the towel and we headed outside.
