"A hybrid is a crossbred supernatural. Like if a Werewolf and Vampire had a kid who got both vampire and werewolf genes then that kid would be a hybrid" Tessa explained.

"A hybrid is basically half one breed of supernatural and half another breed" I replied. Blaire and Tessa nodded and awaited my next question.

"So am I a hybrid?" I asked them.

"Yes you are. We are not sure of what two supernaturals you are yet" Blaire answered. So that answers that.

"My parents are defidently not supernaturals, so how am I one?" Blaire handed me my phone. I saw the text from my parents that I hadn't read yet. I opened it up and read outloud.

"Your father and I have decided that since you are going to a boarding school, you should know that your father and I cannot have kids so we adopted you. I tried to call you earlier and tell you but your phone was off. I hope this doesn't change anything, we love you just the same".

I looked away from the screen. How could they have lied to me? A bunch of movies came back into my mind. They probably were afraid I would be mad if they had told me. At least they did tell me, it may have been a little late but it was better than not telling me at all. But through text message? Telling your kid she is adopted seemed like the kind of thing you should tell someone in person. Now just one more question.

"Why am I here and how did I get here" Blaire and Tessa looked at each other. I figured this might take a little explaining.

"Well, since you arrived at the school our leader has been worried about you. You see, pure supernaturals have always looked down upon us hybrids. Maybe it's because they just can't except the fact that two breeds can fall in love, or maybe it's because they fear we are too powerful since we have more than one power. Pure supernaturals and hybrids have died and killed innocent people because they couldn't control their powers. This school was an amazing idea that would save thousands but, they wouldn't let hybrids in." I stared at Blaire.

"But I'm a hybrid and they let me in." I said, perplexed.

"Did they know you were a hybrid?" Blaire asked.

"I'm not sure." I replied.

"That's the thing. Our leader thinks they didn't know and was afraid what would happen to you when they found out you were a hybrid. So when you fainted, our leader asked for your school to give you to us. They refused, so we let out a smoke that messed with the brain waves that keep you conscious and it made anyone who inhaled it faint. My invention." Blaire picked up a jar and patted it.

"So how did you guys not faint?" I asked.

"About 17 dozes of caffeine taken 15 minutes before we released the smoke helped us stay awake" She replied.

"So you took a group trip to Starbucks?"

"I wish." Tessa replied "Instead we were injected with it" She held out her arm where there was a bandage. "Our leader insisted it would be more effective."

"What exactly is your leader leading?" I asked.

"The rebellion of course. To make pure-bloods and hybrids equal." Blaire exclaimed.

"This is a peaceful rebellion, no killing, right?" I asked.

"Of course! Our leader would never let us kill unless completely  necessary and we would never want to kill either." Tessa replied. Suddenly a eardrum-breaking scream echoed through the room. Blaire and Tessa looked at each other.

"What was that?" Tessa said. They both rushed to the door to see what the scream was and beckoned me to come with them. I followed them and stopped as another scream sounded. What on earth was happening?
