Hinata POV
I was so sleepy from staying up last night that I completely forgot about what was on my chest and neck.I had the hoodie on while brushing my teeth and throughout breakfast too.
I was too tired to take it off.
By the time training came around I was completely oblivious to the attention it would draw.
I took off the hoodie and put it in my locker, yawning as I took my shirt off.
I slipped my shirt over my head and stretched as I walked into the gym.
I widened my eyes when I saw Kageyama was already there. I thought I'd woken up early enough to avoid him.
His words lingered in my head all night long.
'I wish I could look at you like that'
It gave me shivers.
"Hinata!" he called as soon as he saw me. "Come over here I wanna try something"
Try a tossing technique hopefully...
"Coming!" I call in an overly happy voice, completely disregarding the events that look place last night.
I think it's best if I just ignore it.
I see a confused expression plaster on Kageyamas face as he gets closer.
He looks at me up and down with his mouth hanging open.
"What's wrong?" I ask "Is there something on-"
"Hinata!" Tanakas loud voice made me jump.
When I turned around him and Noya were walking towards me.
"Leave it up to you two to get here earlier than us!" Noya said "If I hadn't known any better, I'd say that you two were-"
He stops mid sentence and takes a good look at me, as does Tanaka.
The same expression that I saw on Kageyama was identical to the one they were making now.
I stepped back a little, feeling a little self conscious.
Suddenly, they both burst out laughing.
"Damn, Hinata!" Tanaka says holding his stomach "Who knew you'd be such a player?"
I go red when I remembered that I forgot to cover up what was left from last night.
I look down shakily to my neck, and plastered on it were big purple marks.
My hoodie covered them up while I was in the bathroom, but I didn't even stop to think that my t shirts could reveal them all.
"I-It's not what it looks like!" I say trying to convince them.
I throw excuses around like it'll make a difference.
They already know what happened...
"Is that where you were last night?!" Noya says catching his breath "No wonder you were so late!"
"I told you!" I childishly shout at them "It's really not what it looks like!"
"Whatever you say" they tease as they go to set up another net.
Damn it.
This sucks."Hinata?" Kageyama says.
I forgot he was standing behind me.
It hit me when I saw his expression that he knew I was with Atsumu last night.
"Kageyama..." I whisper, trailing off not knowing what to say.
"Do you need a compression shirt?" he asks, avoiding the topic of Atsumu completely "I think I packed one with a turtle neck"
"They won't fit" I say "But thanks anyways"
The rest of training was filled with obvious stares and questions, and the occasional snickering or giggling.
The most uneasy part about it was Kageyamas clear lack of interest.
Judging by the way he looked at me the other night and what he said, it's clear that it'd be a lot easier for him if Atsumu was out of the picture.
His silence made me more anxious then if he was actually asking about it.
By the time dinner came around, Suga had already given me 'the talk.'
"But that's not what these are!" I told him, exhausted from trying to explain it to everyone.
"It doesn't matter" he sighed "Just thought you should know"
I was way too embarrassed by what he was talking to me about that I pretty much forgot everything already.
I never had talks like that when I was younger.
Not that I expected any; I was barely talked to at home anyways.Unlike me, my mother wasn't a very chatty person; she wasn't very outgoing either.
I think the first time I saw her go out since I was six was to a hardware store one morning and then...
"Hinata, you ready to go?" Sugas voice snapped me out of my thoughts.
I nodded and finished the rest of my rice, putting it into the kitchen and following him to the room.
Most of the team was already there.
As soon as practice ended, I threw a hoodie on almost immediately.
The second years were still taking showers when I lay down on my bed and started to get restless.
I touched my face.
I wish someone was here to do it for me.Being touch-deprived my whole life, Atsumus fingertips were like a drug I couldn't get enough of.
By now I assume he's back home; he can't stay in a hotel for very long with a high schoolers budget.
"First years!" Ennoshita calls "One of you can go now!"
Tsukishima went, and in the next call Tadashi.
"Do you mind if I go next?" Kageyama asked.
"Course not" I said, still looking up at the ceiling.
Any other day I would have fought him on it, but I didn't have it in me today.
Plus, there's something I planned to do when Kageyama wasn't looking.
When Kageyama had finally left, when no one was looking I slipped his phone in my pocket.
"I'll be right back!" I told the team, just about to leave the room.
"Don't get anyone pregnant" Tanaka calls.
I ignore it and head over to the rooftop.
I took out his phone and said to myself, "Finally"
