Hinata POV
I was too nervous to look at the expression Astumu was making.

I just sort of looked away and hoping that he'd react soon enough to not make the situation any more awkward than it already was.

"You there?" I giggled forcefully in an attempt to break the silence (and the awkwardness). "It's not like you to be so qui-"

My words broke when I felt his arms wrap around me and his face bury into my shoulder.

He was crying; I could tell by the muffled sniffles and the tears that were falling.

I smiled lightly and stroked his hair. I've never seen him like this. He was genuinely sorry for me. No ones ever been before. Then again, it's not like I'd ever told anyone either.

Between quivered sobs he managed to get out a, "S-So that's why you... you... !"

I knew exactly what he was trying to say.

"I guess.... I thought if I gave you too much attention then you'd... end up leaving too. That sort of just lead to avoiding you completely. Better safe than... sorry"

As much as I thought I should, Ive already cried enough. I ended up hugging him back as he cried into my shirt.

"A-and the dreams?" he asked

I nodded.
Maybe now they'll stop.

Then, he said something that I never expected anyone to say to me,

"I'm sorry"

I was surprised, so surprised that I didn't know what to do.

"I'm sorry..." he continued "I'm sorry..."

He just kept repeating it over and over.

To be honest, I had no idea why he was apologising, but no part of me had the strength to tell him to stop.

"I'm sorry"

...

"I'm sorry"

...

"I'm sorry"

I held him tighter when he started shaking.
I've never told anyone that before.

It felt good to know that somebody else knew, and even better that that person was Astumu.

I held him there for what felt like hours, unable to do anything but watch as he nuzzled his face deeper into my shirt.

Soon he sat up, eyes red and sniffling. I looked at him blankly, not knowing what to do.

"I'm not leaving" he said firmly "I'll never leave you, ok?"

I nodded, confused saying, "O-Ok"

"I promise!" he said a little louder "I promise I'll always be here. And I'll give you all the attention in the world and I'll... and I'll..."

He came close, real close and said, "I'll always love you, right?"

When he said that, the tears started to fall. My voice cracked as I said, "Right!"

I smiled at him.
He smiled back.

He meant what he said; I could tell by his eyes.

He's not going to leave.
Not like everybody else.

And I loved him, more than anything else in the world.

"Right!"

Still Hinata POV
I could tell that at training a lot of people were surprised that we were getting along again.

I guess it was obvious that there was some tension, but now that we're fine playing with him has become easier than ever.

He'd told me he was taking me somewhere after training.

He didn't tell me where, only that I should bring a few changes of clothes and that it would be a surprise.

To my surprise, we weren't walking to the train station.

Instead, he took me to a nearby (outdoor) staircase and told me to wait there.

"But it's cold!" I told him as I sat down "Can't I just come with you?"

"I'll be right back" he giggled, "Wait right here, kay?"

I don't even know why I said anything.
Whatever he'd ask, I know I'd do without a second thought.

I watched as he left and leaned back to look at the sky.

It was clear and bright, considering it was still pretty cold.

Fog drifted from my breath into the cold air. I followed the cloud with my eyes, and soon my gaze was shifted to someone walking toward me.

"Kageyama..." I said, standing up and watching as he approached me.

"So you two finally sorted things out, huh?" he said, standing at the bottom of the stairs and leaning against the rail, looking at me with narrowed eyes.

"D-Did you talk to him?"

"Something like that... He told me that you were avoiding him"

"Like I was you huh... I never actually apologised for that"

"I guess I didn't either, you know for breaking up with you without a reason"

"So then.... I'm sorry Kageyama"

"I'm sorry too but..."

He trailed off and stood up straight, I gulped as he walked closer.

"But maybe..." he continued "Maybe we could put that behind us now..."

I stepped back a little, but he just got closer.

"Hinata" he said, as I hit a wall, "Please... come back to me"
