(Ik this part doesn't happen in the manga but I need the plot for later 👉👈)Hinata POV
"Postponed?!" The team said in unison.Ukai sighed and repeated himself.
"How many more times do I gotta say it? Nationals are being postponed due to electrical issues."
"We don't need electricity to play!" Tanaka says back.
"We need stadium lights, moron" Tsukishima shoots back.
I could tell he was annoyed too; he was as good at hiding it as the rest of us.
"It's only going to be for a week or two" Ukai assures us. "We'll be staying and training in the same place we have been until then"
As we get back onto the bus and back to the inn we're staying at, Kageyama asks me, "You've been down lately, what gives?"
"I'm just pissed about nationals" I moan "This really sucks"
"You were acting that way even before you found out... did something happen yesterday?"
I felt myself go red.
What happened was only yesterday and it still hasn't gotten out of my head.
"No!" I said a little too quickly, waving my arms in his face "O-Of course not, why would you think that!"
He grabs my wrist gently to stop my nervous rambling and sighs.
"Is it about Atsumu? Did he say something to you yesterday?"
I looked away as to not show my flushed face and mumbled, "Something like that"
I needed to shut him up before I completely lost it.
"What'd he say?"
"None of your business"
"It is my business"
"How?"
He scoffs, obviously not knowing what else to say.
"You're my teammate" he says "If what he said is going to affect the game that's going to be an issue"
I felt his eyes on me as we trained, him constantly watching to see any change in my expression.
I smiled extra wide that day, maybe to make myself feel better or perhaps to assure Kageyama that I was fine.
By the end of the day my cheekbones hurt as much as my limbs.
The hot water of the shower felt good against my back, I sighed and sat down, too exhausted to stand.
Without realising it, I grabbed my face, the same way Atsumu did less than 48 hours ago.
"Does he really like this?" I mumble to myself, referring to my cheeks.
Considering I hadn't gotten much physical attention; not in my school life and definitely not in my home life, my skin was virgin and soft.
I don't understand why he would like that though; he seems like the type who would go for people who can give him what he wants.
I just sort of stand there and let the top take over.
I guess bottoms the only option for me.I dried my body off and changed, slinging a towel over my neck.
"You can go in now, Kageyama" I called.
I felt a shiver go down my spine as a water droplet fell on my back.
I guess my hair was still wet.
I sighed and went to go outside for some fresh air not even bothering to put a jacket on.
I wasn't going to take long, I just needed to get my mind off of everything.
"Be careful" Kageyama said bluntly "You'll catch a cold"
"Yeah whatever!" I shot back.
I went downstairs and opened the door, the unusually cold wind making he shiver.
My eyes widen and my neck starts sweating as I look down to the nearby street.
A tall figure of a familiar looking boy was looking at me from the distance, his eyes sparkling in light and lust as he licked his lips at me.
So much for getting my mind off of him.
I gulped back the lump in my throat and slowly walked toward him.
"A-Atsumu" I said softly "You should be home"
"Don't tell me where to be" he said seductively, grabbing my chin and pulling me closer.
I push him away.
"I'm serious!" I say "If you don't have anywhere to stay it's not safe to go back now"
"Who said I didn't have anywhere to say?" he says. "I'm staying at a hotel not far from here"
"And what are you doing here?" I ask, like it's not completely obvious "Where your staying must be pretty far"
"Yeah, pretty far from you"
"Stop that! It's not safe around here all alone. And it's so cold, you should get a scarf on"
"Says you, the tshirt your wearing is so thin I can almost see right through it. Say, maybe we can warm each other up"
I was so focused on telling him off that I didn't even think about who I was talking to.
"Don't be stupid" I muttered turning my face away and pouting.
I could feel his smirk even without looking at him.
"I wanna talk to you" I said blankly.
He goes to say something, probably sexy or snarky, but I stand on my tippy toes and cover his lips with my pointer finger.
"Talk" I repeat "Nothing more"
I pull my hand away as he uses his tongue to put it in his mouth.
He giggles at my quick reflex.
"It's too cold to talk out here" he says. "Come on, let's go to the inn and-"
"No!" I interrupt "Not there"
I didn't need anyone else to be suspicious, especially with Kageyama watching me like a hawk.
"Why don't we go over to my place?" he teases.
"N-Not there either"
"Well it's either there or here"
I stare at him intensely.
He returns it with a playful smile."It won't take long will it?" I ask.
"Only as long as you want it to be." he says "Weren't you the one who wanted to ask me something?"
Damn.
What a smartass."Hurry up. I wanna get back before Kageyama notices"
