Hinata POV
"Do you really have to leave already?" asked as she looked up at me sadly."Sorry kiddo" I told her, ruffling her curly red hair and kneeling down to her height (which, to be honest wasn't all that shorter from me) "I'll tell you what, next time I might bring someone with me"
"You will! Like who?"
I didn't listen to what I was saying.
I don't know what I should tell her."Y-You'll see ok" I said, pulling her into a hug and saying goodbye to her.
I stand up and I'm met with the couple who looks after her.
"Thanks again" I say to them "For everything"
"No need to thank us!" he said "Bring your girlfriend next time"
"Boyfriend" the misses corrected.
"Right!" he said "Boyfriend"
As I got into the taxi, I messaged Astumu:
Hinata: Pick me up from the front of the apartment? I miss you.
He responded.
I didn't check what he said.Instead I looked out the window and waited to arrive...
Astumu POV
When I read this message, our whole situation slipped out of my mind.He missed me, huh?
How adorable.Astumu: Course ;) I'll be waiting
That was a little bit over an hour ago.
He should be back soon.I put a jacket on and started to head outside.
Somehow I figured that taking that break did us some real good.
I was actually excited to see him despite what's going on.
Like clockwork, he was just pulling up as soon as I stepped foot outside.
He was smiling.
It was nice to see him smiling.
I hadn't seen his smile for awhile. He payed the driver and turned toward me as he drove away.
He looked at each other for awhile, smiling and realising how much we missed each other when he finally said, "I'm glad you actually came"
"Course I came, stupid" I responded "I told you I would, didnt I?"
"I was too scared to open the message"
"Figures..."
A short silence followed.
It wasn't awkward... just in thought."Sorry..." he said finally "About the other day"
"Hinata, you don't have to-"
"I do! Sorry... I do..."
"It's ok. Me too"
I didn't want to ask him about it just yet.
He'd jut gotten back, and even though I was feeling impatient, I knew it wasn't the best time.To my surprise he held my arm as we went up the elevator.
Of course, I didn't mind, but I was a little confused since our whole argument was about him keeping his distance from me.
I guess something really happened on that trip of his.
"God, I missed this place" Hinata said as I unlocked my door, unlinking our arms and going to lay on the bed.
I smiled as he nuzzled his face in my sheets.
He sat up straight and smiled at me with his legs crossed as I entered the room and sat next to him."How's your sister?" I asked him.
He pouted and said, "She's taller than I was at her age! I guess she got my dads genes. Luckyyy!"
"Does that mean you got your mum's genes?" I asked with a smile.
"I sure do" he said "By now I'm sure I'd be taller than her... she was pretty small, just like I am"
"You're not small anymore, you're just short"
"You weren't supposed to agree with me"
I lightly laughed at him, and I could see a smile crawl onto his face.
"Chiyoko is a beautiful name" I say "I bet she was just as pretty as you are"
He turned to look at me suddenly, his soft expression changing drastically.
"H-How do you know her name?"
"Did I pronounce it wrong?"
"No but... how'd you know it?"
"Let's just say I did some research"
He looked away a little and said, "So you know what happened then, huh?"
"Not at all"
"R-Really?"
"Really. It just said that she was your late mother... which I'm sorry for by the way"
"Don't be. It was my fault any- never mind"
I squished his cheeks gently and said, "Tell me about her. I want to know everything"
Hey!! I know this is a short chapter, but we do get a backstory next so just stay tuned for that. Sorry for being inactive, school started so it's pretty hard to keep up with everything lmao.
