Astumu POV
"So the shortys too much for even you to handle?"

What?
What is he talking about?

"That didn't answer my question." I said, hiding my confusion with a confidant tone "What are you doing here?"

We stared at each other coldly, trying to get into the others head.

Finally, he sighs and says, "That ones a lost cause. You should end it before you get too into it"

I felt my blood boil as he said those words.
I wanted to kill him right there and then, but instead I said,

"Unlike you I'm not one to give up just because things are difficult"

He grits his teeth.

"There's a difference between 'giving up' and knowing when to stop"

"It doesn't matter if you 'wanted it to stop'. What you did was wrong"

He scoffed and said, "What I did?"

"You can't just leave someone without a reason."

"He knew exactly what he was doing. If he wanted to end things all he had to do was tell me. Avoiding me like that wasn't going to change any-"

"Avoiding you?!"

So the same thing happened to Kageyama?
That means the issue here isn't me.
If he was avoiding him too then...

"That's what I said" Kageyama told me "Something happened and he just avoided me until I came to the conclusion that he didn't want to be with me. I just assumed that he wanted to break up with me but I knew he was too pussy to do it"

"Something happened? What does that mean?"

"He stayed over one night and woke up screaming. He told me that I shouldn't be near him and then... yeah"

What the...

"Did you even ask him about it?"

"I didn't have to ask him to know what it was about"

"You idiot, of course you did!"

He narrowed his eyes as I raised my voice.

"Did he tell you anything?" I asked panicked "About his family or about himself or about...me"

"Maybe if he did we wouldn't be in this mess!"

"You're really acting like you aren't to blame at all? It's obvious that somethings wrong!"

"Whatever it is, if he didn't want to talk about it, that wasn't my problem-"

"Of course it was your problem! He was with you because he thought that you'd help him, not push him away!"

He stepped back a little, obviously not knowing what to say back.

"You really think someone like you can help him?" he says, coldly "You pretend you care but we both know what you really want"

"I have no idea what you're talking about"

"Allow me to remind you that I saved him from you."

"Kageyama, that was years ago! What does that have to do with anything now!"

"I know you're still thinking about it. If you're trying to help him to make up for what you did then-"

"That's not it at all! I want to help him"

"Helps not going to fix him! He's crazy and should just deal with it on his own"

He puts his hands in his pockets and walks away.

Hinata POV
Somehow being back makes me feel relieved in a way.

No Atsumu.
No Kageyama.

I can just have a break from the hot mess I'd created.

I payed the taxi driver and took my bags out the car, slinging them onto my back as he drove away.

From where I was, it wasn't a far walk back home; well from the home I'd lived in when I was in high school.

Since my parents owned the house, it's mine now, but Natsus still staying in my parents' friends house.

I thought of walking back home first; maybe to pick up some more stuff or maybe just to be there.

But even now I can't stand the thought of going back...

Before I went to see Natsu, I went back to Karasuno.

It was still a school day; maybe I'll get to see some familiar faces.

Security's not a big factor in this school; I walked in like I was a student myself.

It was lunch I'm guessing; a couple of students looked at me as I walked in.

Everything's exactly the same.
It's crazy how much hasn't changed.

The lady at the front desk recognised me right away.

I came here a lot before games to get tablets since I threw up all the time.

She asked me about what I'm doing now and I told her that I'm still playing volleyball.

"That's great!" she said in her usually cheery tone "Did you come here to see the boy from your team?"

"Hm? What do you mean?"

She chuckes and says, "Ah, you don't know yet?"

I look at her, very confused.

"Why don't you take a look at your old homeroom classroom?"

I had a small conversation with her before she let me enter the building.

"My old homeroom class, huh?" I mumbled to myself  "It's right around here, isn't it?"

Of course.
I could never miss the only door in the whole building that had the letters F and K carved into it.

Two kids from my class did it as a dare and the school didn't have enough money to replace the door.

I slowly opened the door.
Someone was still in there.
The teacher maybe?
He was finishing up some papers when he turned to look at me.

No way!
Was that-

"H-Hinata?" he said, surprised "Is that you"

I stepped into the classroom and smiled at him saying, "Suga! Long time no see!"
