Hongseok

I stomped down the hall, passing the elevator. I groan a bit, running my hand through my half red, half black hair.
"What is this girl doing? I barely know her," I thought aloud, entering my "apartment". It was a cover for the base. If I were to reveal it to anybody, everyone, and I mean every single person in town, is in danger. The reason? I am in Pentagon: a dangerous mafia gang in Seoul, South Korea, lesser-known than most others.
"Hongseok!" The booming voice of Wooseok calls from the other side of the apartment.
"What are you doing here?" I ask, exhaling a sharp breath.
He shrugs, "I'm bored."
I shake my head, pinching the bridge of my nose. Jeez. how am I put in the same gang with someone who is like a child, but knows more about artillery than I do?

After being at the apartment for an hour, I had taken the car to the base with Wooseok. He fell asleep halfway through the ride to the base, but I can't expect any less to happen. I sigh, pulling into the large house we had for our base. Our leader, Hui, stood at the door, arms behind his back.
"Hongseok, welcome back," he lets a smirk take over his face.
"Hui, here is a cake. Let's celebrate taking over the new territory," I chuckle a bit.
His small arm reaches up to my shoulder, "It was all you, dude."
I shake my head partly, "Hey, I cannot take all the credit when you, our leader, helped as well."

"Alright, so what's next?" Kino implores as everyone proceeds to eat the cake I had bought from the bakery. And Maya, wait, that needs to stop.
"Wait, Hongseok are you okay?" Yanan interrogates me. His doctor's role in our gang was engaged in our real lives. He cared for us like his real family.
"Huh? Yeah, I'm alright," I snap back into reality, stuffing a bite of cake in my mouth.
"Are you sure?" Yuto pitches up, even with cake in his mouth. "
"Guys, I am fine," I sigh, trying to get them off my back.
Hui chimes in, "Alright, everyone, leave him alone. We need to discuss the meeting between us and the Seventeen Group. I need to make sure we have the safety of all of us prioritized."

Atwood had fallen asleep on the loveseat that was sat in the corner. I was currently in the kitchen, making Pad Thai (Thai-style fried noodles). As I finished adding the egg, I got out a bowl, dumping the contents of the wok into it. I sighed, realizing how quiet the apartment is now. I was used to having a lot of noise, but now, I was lucky to get even a single pin drop of sound throughout the entire apartment. My mind has been racing since I had seen Hongseok. He was cold, but I was somewhat intrigued. It was like I needed more, but I know a boyfriend is not what I need right now.

Hey guys! This is Alyssa, the author! I'm apologize for the wait between chapters. I just wasn't motivated to write, but now I am.  I had a small idea for this, which you'll find out later! Have fun reading!
