My past has been transparent, with living in the limelight of crime my whole life. Who would've thought I wouldn't turn bad? Maya is oblivious. She barely knows who I really am and, yet, here she is. Trusting me. Naive little girl, isn't she?

The group and I would not be going down easy. Not with her in the way. Not with PTG Group. No one.

Maya
The sunshine hit my face early this morning, a small kick welcoming me instead of morning sickness. I smile, before realizing that a hand had been holding my belly. I turn a little, following the arm to its rightful owner. Hongseok. The way he looks now makes him look like how he did when my apartment was broken into. Everything was exactly the same. His eyes fluttered open and that's when his eyes meet mine.
"Morning, you enjoying the view?" He smirks, chuckling at the bewilderment on my face.
"I wasn't-"
"You were." He has caught me red-handed, why lie? At that moment, I realized that I was still staring at him while he stared at me. An urge from the pit of my stomach craved him, but my heart and head disagreed. Hongseok had a look in his eye, not of hunger or lust but of adoration. His face slowly moves forward to graze my lips.
"Stop."
"What's wrong?"
"We can't do that." I get up quickly, my belly permitting. My comfy shorts allow movement down the stairs. How come I let Hongseok almost kiss me? Geonhak is the one I'm supposed to love. Wait, did I say supposed?
"Maya, I'm sorry," Hongseok's voice calls after me, I look up to him leaning over the banister.
"I am not going to cheat on Geonhak," I sigh.
"And I didn't think that you would."
"I'm grabbing breakfast." I walk the rest of the way downstairs, breathing heavily.

"Hyunggu."
"What's up, Maya?"
"Something happened between me and Hongseok," I grab a croissant from the plate in the counter.
"Spill."
"Alright, so I just woke up and I tried to get up. His arm was around my belly, so I turned and unintentionally stared at him, until he woke up. Then, he stared at me and we... We almost kissed," I explain.
Hyunggu gasps, "Maya! That is huge."
"I stopped it before it happened, but is it bad that I wanted to?"
"Yes! You have Geonhak, remember?"
"I know, I just... I'm confused."
"Was there anything serious between you and Geonhak?"
"Well, I told him that I wanted to meet his parents," I grimace, taking a bite of croissant.
"Maya," he lets out a groan. "You need to find a solution to your problem."
"I will, as soon as I figure out what's going on in heart." I walk out of the kitchen, going up the stairs to grab my phone off the charger. I disconnect it, furrowing my eyebrows as I see a text from an unknown number.
'It's been a while, hasn't it? Congrats on you and Geonhak's baby. Think you can still trust me? -S' Who the hell is that and who told them that it's Geonhak's baby?
I go to my contacts, find his contact, and press his number. It rings a few times, before he answers.
"Hey, baby. What's going on?"
"Did you, by chance, tell anyone that I was pregnant with your baby?" He stays silent for a minute.
"What? Why would I do that?"
"I don't know, but I got a text from someone who claims that is what they heard."
"I didn't tell anyone that," he says, before mumbling something else alongside it. Something about Johnny and the baby?
"Okay. I love you." If only I was 100% sure about that.
"I love you too. Dinner with my parents is tomorrow, okay? I'll be picking you up."
"Okay, see you tomorrow?"
"See you tomorrow." I hang up the phone, looking around.
"Hey, Hyunggu? Are you busy today?" I call out.
"No, why?"
"Want to come with me to my doctor's appointment?

"Maya Ahktar?" A nurse calls out. I stand up, Hyunggu at my side. "Follow me right this way. Today, we'll be finding out baby's gender, correct?"
"It's that visit? Maya," Hyunggu looks at me, walking alongside the nurse. "He should've been here."
I ignore him, "That's correct."
"Alright, your technician will be with you guys shortly," the nurse smiles, before making her way out of the room.
"Maya, you didn't tell him, did you?"
"When I'm trying to avoid him for now, until my thoughts and heart are sorted out, I don't have to mention anything."
"When you realize he's the dad, it's kind of necessary."
A knock sounds throughout the room.
"You can come in."
"Hey Maya," My OBGYN, Doctor Jun, smiles. "And new friend?"
"Best friend," I smile.
"Big day, huh?"
"Finally," I chuckle, scooting back, laying down, and lifting my shirt to be above my bump.
"I have never seen a baby bump in the skin alone. This is weird," Hyunggu eyes the bump covering my stomach curiously.
"You're ahead of me," Doctor Jun chuckles. "Same warning as always: the gel is cold."
"Got it." She squirts the gel on my stomach, then takes the transducer to my belly. She stares at the screen, as she moves it around my belly, trying to find the baby.
"There's the baby," she points out the spine and head. "Heartbeat looks to be going strong. They're moving around a lot. This might make it difficult to see gender, but I'm going to try."
She continues to try to get the baby to cooperate, before a smile develops on her face.
"There she is."
"She? It's a girl?"
"Yes, miss Ahktar," Doctor Jun smiles to Hyunggu and I. "Congratulations. Just while I'm here, I wanted to ask about your birth plan."
"I actually was going to ask: would it be wrong for a home birth and only go to the hospital if necessary?"
"Do what feels right for you. Some women choose a home birth, others choose a hospital birth. Not every birth goes the way you want it, which you kept in mind. The comfort of you and baby, however, is the utmost importance for us and for you," she explains. "Do you have any other questions?"
"Actually, I am curious: when should I feel her move more? I do feel her move sometimes, but I do want to know that this is normal."
"Actually, anytime from your 18 week mark until the 22 week mark should be the time you feel more movement, so you're right in that time. Just know that each baby is different, though," Doctor Jun explains. "Alright, if that is all for today, let me grab you some tissues and get your belly cleaned up." She exits the room.
"I had a feeling she would've been a boy," Hyunggu remarks.

We stopped at a baby store in the way back to the base. We wandered around the baby clothes, looking for anything to announce her.
"What about this?" Hyunggu holds up a onesie that says 'And though she be but little she is fierce.'
"That fits our life perfectly," I giggle a little, before my jaw drops a little. "Is that a matching bow?"
"Yeah, you like it?"
"Love it, more like."
"Then, that's how we're announcing."

"We're back!" I called as we stepped through the door, closing it. The small bag holding the onesie I got for the baby sitting in my hand.
"Hey," Hongseok greets us without a shirt. Oh god, the muscles on this one.
"Hey, uh, can I talk to you for a second?"
"Sure, library as always?"
"Please," I nod. We walk in silence, until we reach the library, pulling the door closed.
"What's up?"
"Well, I had a special appointment today regarding the baby," I start off. "We stopped at a shop on the way home and, in an effort to make up for the awkwardness this morning, wanted to surprise you."
"Well, what's the surprise?" I hide a smile, pulling the onesie out of the bag, and laying it flat against my belly. His eyes move as he reads the clothing.
"The baby's a girl?" His eyes are soft as he looks at my face.
"Yeah, and she was moving like crazy during the appointment."
"Why didn't you ask me to go with you?" How do I tell him that I'm confused? Just saying it straight doesn't help much.
"I was busy in thought... About you and me, and me and Geonhak."
"Maya, I don't want to make you choose."
"And yet, here I am, clearing my mind about the confusion you both have sent me into."
"Maya, look at me," he caresses my face, making me look him in the eye. "Whatever you may choose, whether it's with me or him, doesn't change what I feel about you."
My eyes gaze at his orbs, flickering between his features until his lips. I flicker back up to his eyes, but his meet my lips. He started leaning in, while I did the same. Our lips met and the sparks that I felt had never been felt with Geonhak. Our lips move in sync, until I pulled away.
"It's you."
