*Lucia's POV*
The illness had now spread to everyone who survived the Cell Block D incident. Every person from D now had it and we were all cramped in A. Jackson stayed in our cell while Sasha and I helped Doctor S try to save people.
"Daryl, Michonne, Bob, Lillian and Tyreese are going on a run. We should have medicine soon." Doctor S said to Sasha and I as we were all lifting another body of a person we had lost onto a gurney.
I nodded, unable to speak due to my wheezing with every breath I took. Not an inch of my body wasn't covered in sweat from both the fever and all of the heavy lifting I was trying to get through. I felt Hershel and Sasha's eyes on me.
"You should go lay down. And check on Glenn on your way there, will you? If he's doing well enough, ask him if he could help," The doctor spoke again.
I hadn't really been paying attention to how much my body protested against me until they told me to lay down. My mind was too preoccupied with thoughts of everything else. Jackson, Lillian and John, the fences, not wanting to lose anyone else...
I looked up at the other two and finally succumbed to the physical pain I was feeling. I nodded at them and took a shaky breath as I started walking towards Glenn's cell that was right next to mine.
"Hey," I asked, leaning against the cold wall beside me.
He was laying on the ground with his arm over his face. When he took his arm off and looked up at me, I could see the pain he was in. His eyes were bloodshot and his hair sat disheveled against his face, pinned there with sweat.
"They sent me back to my cell. Said if you're feeling up to it, they'd appreciate your help," I managed to wheeze out. As soon as the sentence came out, I began coughing again. A blood soaked rag that I had been holding in my hand came up to my mouth as I spit up more blood.
Glenn nodded at me and stood up from the floor. He groaned when he was finally at his full height. He began walking towards me and I started walking away back to Jackson.
"Lucia, wait," Glenn called out from behind me.
I turned around to look at him and he walked closer to me. He brought his sleeve up to my mouth and wiped at it gently.
"You have blood all over your face. That might freak Jackson out," he said when I looked at him confused.
"Thank you," I replied.
He smiled faintly before turning and walking over to Sasha and Caleb,
I wiped at my face once more just in case and began to walk into my cell. Jackson was sitting up on the bed, but leaning against the cold cement wall. His eyes were closed, but as soon as he heard my feet shuffle into the cell, they shot open.
"You're back," he stated with a small smile.
I nodded and sat down beside him. He moved closer to me and put his head on my shoulder. I leaned us both back so we had our backs against the wall.
We sat in silence for a few minutes before I spoke up.
"So, Jackson. I think since we're gonna be spending a lot of time with one another, let's get to know each other. How about you say some things about you and then I'll tell you about me?"
He nodded excitedly and I laughed a little at his childishness.
"My name is Jackson Blue Cooper. I am six years old and I'm from Griffin, Georgia. My mom's name was Sadie. I never met her; she died when I was born. My dad took care of me and he was the best dad ever. I like to draw and my favourite colour is blue."
