*Lucia's POV*

When I woke up the next morning my body felt warm. My guess was the sun shining in from the windows which warmed up the whole prison block. I got up slowly, a dull ache in my head pounding once again. I tried to ignore the ringing in my ear, but it seemed to get louder making me focus on it more.

Surprisingly, Lillian was already awake and getting dressed when I looked up.

"Hey," she said gently.

"What time is it?" I asked groggily.

"Like nine. You started coughing last night during your sleep so I thought you should sleep in."

I nodded at her before pulling myself up and out of bed. I grabbed a clean pair of jeans and a white spaghetti strap tank top. A few drops of sweat fell down the back of my neck as I pulled my long brown hair into a messy bun at the top of my head. When I reached down to tie the laces on my black boots, I began coughing once again.

"You should stay here," Lillain said to me when I stood back up.

I gave her a look and continued to holster my gun and knives. I coughed once more into the crook of my elbow and made my way outside the cell. Lillian sighed behind me and then began to follow. We walked outside to check on the fences.

"We only got one cluster of the walkers yesterday. We'll need more people on it today, but I think we need to bring it up in a council meeting. We need to find a way to reinforce the fences," Lillian told me as we got closer.

I nodded as we watched a group of them pound against the chain-link. It swayed along, looking as if it would come down soon. I looked down the yard again, spotting Carl and Rick who were in the pig pen. Carl gave us a small smile and waved while Lillian and I returned the gesture.

Just as we were about to start heading over to the two male Grimes', gunshots came from back towards the prison. We all looked at each other for less than two seconds before I began racing back towards the cell blocks. Mika and her older sister, Lizzie came running out of cell block D screaming for help.

I slowed down and grabbed Mika's shoulder, asking her what happened. Before she could respond, Glenn yelled out, "walkers in D!"

"What about C?" I yelled back, pulling my gun out and taking the safety off.

Sasha came out from beside me with Daryl and Tyreese behind her.

"C is clear. We locked the gates to the tombs. Hershel's on guard," Sasha said quickly as we all began running towards cell block D.

"It ain't a breach," Daryl added.

Cell Block D was a disaster. Walkers were attacking people left and right. Children were screaming as they watched their parents get taken right in front of them. The worst part is that Daryl was right; it wasn't a breach. These walkers were people that had lived here with us for months. Lillian guided some of the living outside to safety while the rest of us ran through the cell block, killing walkers and locking people in cells to keep them safe.

I saw a kid with shorter curly hair scream as his father's neck was bit into. I had been on a couple of runs with him. His name was Jordan and his son's name is Jackson. Daryl and I had found them on a run a few months back and we brought them here.

I quickly ran towards Jackson, picking him up. He wrapped his arms around my neck and I gave him a small kiss on the head before handing him to Karen.

I ran back to Jordan and killed the walker that had started chomping down on his arm. I could see the veins and arteries snapping as the walkers teeth had pulled at the meat. He made eye contact with me and a single tear streamed down his face.
