Hangovers. One of the dreadful kinds of experiences that one would gone through, in life in general. Period.
It was one in the afternoon. Megan had just woken up from her sleep. She kept touching her forehead, while she slowly sat up, and glanced at the time shown on the alarm clock by the nightstand.
Her head still felt fuzzy like yesterday. She also could not honestly believed that she had slept so long. Why did she drink so much? No one knows, not even the woman herself. She was having a painful ass headache from the hangover.
When was the last time she had drunk anyway, it was ages ago, so the memory was long gone. And how did she managed to get home on her own two feet? Oh wait, She knows. A simulated memory from yesterday's night has started to slowly crept into her mind.
What a great memory.
Megan thought to herself as the recalling started to kick in.
And there were these particular glimpses that seemed so vivid to her, almost as if she was travelling back to the same time and sequence. She could remember being stuck under his sturdy grasps through those bulky arms, locking her from escape. A mouse caught in a trap. What's more, she had wanted to not leave, but continue to be detained under his rightful watch.
It was not her fault.
It was his.
That alluring cherry scent evoking from his powerful body. It was intoxicating enough to make her face flushed in a redder tint then before. She could remember feeling sizzling hot just by being in a close proximity with him. When he had his face leaned close against hers. When his hazel-coloured eyes were searing in darkness, furiously glaring at hers.
It was enough to set herself, her soul on fire, and in fear. The anticipation of what could happen afterwards—
She must be not in her right mind.
Forget it, her throat felt dry, and so she needed a cup of plain water to down on. The water would make her feel refresh for the day. Even clearing all these outrageous thoughts that almost formulated in her mind.
Yes, yes. She just needed to keep herself hydrated. That's what was missing right now.
Indeed.
Before leaving her room, she had also noticed a written note left near the lamp on the nightstand. It was a note written by Jack, mentioning that he would not be in the house for a couple of weeks due to the tour, and that he had left some vitamins on the kitchen table for her to take it.
Genuinely, Megan formed a light smile on her lips. The little note was handwritten, including a sign-off from him. Quite considerate of him. She appreciated his thoughtful act of gesture. But she couldn't help but wondered why he hadn't texted instead, it's way easier.
Oh wait, she does not have his phone number. Dumb her. Or does he even have one? Well, it's possible. Mr Jack White going phone-less.
Why does it seemed that he fitted with that image?
From what she has observed so far, the man appeared to be the traditional type of person. When deciphering from Third Man itself, the whole interior and environment just screams 'VINTAGE'.
Meanwhile, she had behaved like an annoying child that you just want to abandon by the roadside, no kidding. She could not believed that she had caused such an inconvenience to Jack.
The man she honestly, did not expect much from. Well, it was logical in the sense that since they were currently living under the same one roof, it would be his responsibility to bring her home.
