The Sick President

Oscar is sitting down on his table, still thinking about what he saw earlier. After a few minutes, Secretary Olegario entered the room.

Diana: Mr. President, we already set the date for the contract signing.

She handed him the schedule, and he reads it.

Diana: Do you have any other plans on that day sir?

Oscar: No. (he answered plainly)

Diana: Then it's final, you just have to sign that sir.

Oscar signed the papers na parang may iba sa mood niya. After signing it, she handed the papers back to Secretary Olegario.

Oscar: Make sure to update Lily regarding that.

Diana: I called her earlier sir, pero hindi siya sumagot. She texted me a few minutes later saying that she can't come today because she has to meet an important person.

He suddenly remembered seeing Lily with another man earlier.

Oscar: Ahh, sige. (he sighed) What's my schedule for this afternoon?

Diana: You're supposed to have a meeting with Ms. Cortez, but since she's not here...

Oscar: Any other meetings?

He asked hoping that he has other meetings to attend just to keep him busy from thinking other things.

Diana: No sir, you have the whole afternoon free. (she smiled)

Oscar: Oh. (he said sadly)

Diana: Excuse me sir. (she left the room)

Oscar stayed in the office for awhile. He decided to just go to his room and rest since he has no other things to do for the day. As he was about to leave the room...

Oscar: Captain Salonga, ang mabuti pa'y umuwi kana. Wala naman akong ibang pupuntahan ngayon, magpapahinga lang ako sa kwarto.

Edwin: Sigurado po ba kayo Mr. President?

Oscar: Oo, para makapagpahinga kana rin.

Edwin: Sige po Mr. President, maraming salamat.

Oscar: Sige.

Captain Salonga already left and Oscar just went to his room to rest, clearing his mind of what he saw earlier.

It's the next day, just a normal day for all of them. The secretaries just finished a meeting with Oscar when Lily entered the room, bringing with her a man, familiar to Oscar's eyes, which made him stare at them coldy. The both of them also caught the secretaries' attention, their faces are slightly shocked seeing Lily with this tall handsome man.

Lily: I'm sorry, are you having a meeting?  Did we bother you? (sound worried)

Arturo: It's okay Ms. Cortez, kakatapos lang namin mag meeting.

Lily: Ah, mabuti naman, akala ko na istorbo namin kayo. (feeling relieved)

Diana: Hindi naman.

Lily: By the way I want to introduce to you all a friend and business partner of mine.

They moved closer to Lily and her friend.

Lily: This is Mr. Sy.

Mr. Sy smiled at them.

Lily: Mr. Sy, meet the secretaries. This is Secretary Delfin Borja, Secretary Diana Olegario, and Secretary Arturo Padua. (she pointed them out respectively as Mr. Sy shakes their hand and smiles at them one by one)
