It's You, Always You

An Awkward Moment

It's the next day, Lily went to the palace to visit Oscar. As she enters the living room, she sees the household staff busy preparing something.

Lily: Magandang araw!

Loring: Ay Ms. Lily, anjan na po pala kayo. Tumuloy na po kayo sa itaas, sinabihan na po kami ni Mr. President na darating kayo.

Lily: Ahh, sige. Uhm. May dala akong pastries. (she handed them the bag)

Auring: Sige po, ihanda po namin.

Lily: Salamat. T-tutuloy na ako. (she smiled nervously)

Loring: Sige po.

Lily went upstairs.

Auring: Sila na ba? (she asked)

Loring: Ewan. Teka sandali, tanungin natin si Doray. Doray! (she called her)

Doray: Oh, Aling Loring bakit?

Loring: Si Ms. Lily naba at si Mr. President?

Doray: Hindi ko rin alam eh. Pero alam niyo kahapon, nong sinusubuan ni Ms. Lily si Mr. President, para silang mag-jowa. Nakakakilig nga eh! (she said feeling butterflies in her stomach)

Auring: Teka teka, ang ibig mong sabihin, inalagaan ni Ms. Lily si Mr. President kahapon? (she asked curiously)

Doray: Oo!

The three of them feels kilig which caught the attention of the other household staff.

Ambo: Uy uy uy! Ano yang pinag-uusapan niyo?

Liza: Oo nga ate, share naman kayo jan!

Doray: Ito kasi yun, kahapon, pumunta dito si Ms. Lily. Inalagaan si Mr. President! (kilig)

Ambo: Eh kaya naman pala gumaling agad si Mr. President eh! (joyfully)

Kaloy: Ang tanong, sila na ba?

Doray: Eh yun nga yung di namin alam!

Liza: Pero sana sila na nga noh? Para naman sumaya ulit si Mr. President.

Ruben: Oo nga, bagay naman sila eh.

Elizabeth: Hay nako! Ayan nanaman kayo sa pagsabi niyo na bagay si Ms. Lily at Mr. President! Alam naman nating hindi noh! Sila parin ni Ms. Marissa ang bagay. (and she rolled her eyes at them)

Loring: Ayan ka nanaman Elizabeth, kinakampihan nanaman si Ms. Marissa.

Doray: Oo nga Aling Elizabeth! Mag move on kana! Tulad ni Mr. President nag move on na.

Auring: Oh siya siya! Tama na yan. Balik na sa trabaho. Baka maabutan pa tayo ni Mr. President at Ms. Lily na ganto.

Doray and Elizabeth makes funny faces with each other and they get back to work. Lily on the other hand, reached the door of Oscar's room. She's hesitant to knock since she's shy and worried that she might disturb him. After about a minute, she decided to lean her ear to the door, hoping she'll get any idea of what Oscar is doing. As she move closer and lean her head, the door suddenly opened. She was shocked and didn't have time to hold on to something, which caused her to stumble upon Oscar and the two of them fall to the ground. Lily is on top of Oscar, her hands on his manly chests, and his hands on her lovely back. Both of them can feel each other's heart beat and staring at each other's eyes. They were like that for seconds now.

Lily: Uhm... I'm sorry. (she stands up)

Oscar: It's okay. (he sits down and Lily helps him stand up)

Lily: Sorry talaga. I was about to knock—(she was cut off)

Oscar: Okay lang. You don't have to explain yourself, it was an accident.

Lily: An accident, uhm...o-ofcourse. (she said and smiled nervously)

Lily couldn't look at Oscar in the eye. It was an awkward moment for the both of them.

Oscar: Tara? Nagpahanda ako ng tanghalian para saatin.

Lily: S-sige.

On the way there, Lily is still feeling shy with what happened earlier. While Oscar on the other hand, just can't stop smiling. As they reach the dinning room...

Auring: Mr. President, Ms. Lily, anjan na po pala kayo. Halina po kayo't pinagluto namin kayo ng masasarap na putahe.

Oscar: Maraming salamat Auring.

Lily just smiled at Auring. Oscar pulled the chair for Lily. They both sit down and eat lunch. Lily is careful with her actions and is still avoiding Oscar's eyes.

After eating, they went straight to the office. As they go there...

Lily: Uhm... Oscar, sigurado ka bang magtatrabaho kana ulit?

Oscar: Oo naman, maayos namana yung pakiramdam ko.

Lily: Sigurado ka?

Oscar: Anong ibig mong sabihin?

They stopped walking and face each other. Lily held Oscar's forehead and neck, checking his temperature. Oscar smiled and...

Oscar: Okay na talaga ako.

Lily: Sinisiguro ko lang. (she smiled sweetly)

Oscar: Ito naman, wala ka bang tiwala sa pag-aalaga mo? (smiled widely)

Lily chuckled.

Lily: Hindi naman sa ganon pero—

Oscar: Okay na talaga ako. Promise! (he pause for a second) Inalagaan mo ko eh. (still wearing his wide smile)

Lily feels that her face is turning hot. She immediately faced another direction.

Lily: Oo na... tara na nga! (she said)

And they continued walking towards Oscar's office and went on with their busy day.
