Preparations

Lily was about to face him when James suddenly called out Oscar.

James: Mr. President, andito po pala kayo. (Oscar faced him)

Oscar: Ano yun James?

James: May meeting po kayo with Secretary Borja in 10 minutes.

Oscar: Okay James. I'll be there. Thanks for reminding me.

James: Sige po sir, excuse me. (he left the two)

Oscar faced Lily again.

Oscar: Lily?

Lily: Wag na muna tayo mag-usap Oscar. May meeting ka pa. Aalis na ako.

After a week of avoidance...

Lily is patiently having her breakfast when Meilin came for a visit.

Meilin: Good morning!

Lily: Oh hi! Good morning. Come have breakfast with me.

Then Meilin sat down and ate with her.

Meilin: Kamusta kayo ni Oscar?

Lily was stunned with her question, making her freeze for awhile but later had her senses.

Lily: Okay lang.

Meilin: Anong 'okay lang'? Balita ko, hindi ka na daw dumadalaw sa palasyo. No projects?

Lily: Hindi naman, sadyang...ayaw ko lang.

Meilin noticed something wrong on how Lily acts and talks. 

Meilin: Teka, ba't parang may hindi ka sinasabi saakin?

Lily: Wala naman. (still acting weirdly)

Meilin: Lily? (something on her tone that indicates she wants information)

Lily: Fine. May nangyari.

Meilin: Ano?

Lily then told Meilin everything that happened at the boardroom last week.

Meilin: Oh my god. Now that's what they call 'bugso ng damdamin'. (she laughed)

Lily: It's not funny Meilin.

Meilin: So kayo na?

Lily: No. (crossing her eyebrows)

Meilin: At bakit naman hindi? Ano pa hinihintay mo?

Lily: I don't know! I'm not yet ready. Hindi ko nakikita ang sarili kong maging nobya niya.

Meilin: Bakit? Dahil isa siyang presidente?

Lily: It's not that.

Meilin: So ano? Hindi mo siya mahal? You know what, you can deny it as much as you want. But in time your feelings will show. Because sooner or later you'll see, that it's worth the shot.

Lily responded with just a sigh.

Meilin: You should talk to him.

The Palace...

Lily went to the palace after a week of no visit. She entered Oscar's office which surprised Oscar.

Oscar: Lily! You're here. (he said with excitement)

Lily: Ah...yes. Sorry di ako nakadalaw dito, I had to think about some...stuffs. (she paused) By the way, may napili ka na bang design?
