Blessing in Disguise

Months have passed, Lily finished the environmental projects. She sponsored activities like clean-up drives and tree planting. She visited the palace to bid her goodbye and sign of the papers. As she walks towards Oscar's office, she can't help but hear the secretaries talking in the hallway. She slowly walks towards them.

"Some Japanese investors backed out in investing sa Powerplant sa Magbanua." Diana imparted.

"What?! I thought you sealed the deal already." Arturo said shockingly.

"Inakala din namin yun. But unfortunately, they backed out. And they won't tell us the reason." Diana starts to get worried.

"Hindi lang 'yon, may nahuling kargamento ng droga ang coast guard sa karagatan ng Siargao." Delfin revealed.

"Alam ba nila kung sino ang may gawa nun?" Diana asked worriedly.

"Ini-imbestegahan pa nila kung sino." Delfin answered.

"Kung akala niyo na 'yan lang, well you're wrong. Madaming mga bata ang nagkakasakit ng Dengue ngayon, most specifically, sa Tondo." Arturo revealed as well.

"Patong-patong na ang problemang hinaharap ngayon ng presidente." Diana stated concerningly. "Sana---" Secretary Padua cuts her off.

"Ms. Lily! Hi!" Arturo greeted as he sees Lily.

"Ah Ms. Lily, I heard naging successful yung projects mo. Congratulations!" Delfin praised.

"Thank you, Secretary." Lily replied.

"Napadalaw ka Ms. Cortez?" Arturo

"Pinapunta ako dito ni Secretary Diana, she said I have to sign some papers." Lily

"Ah yes! I gave the papers to the president, kailangan din kasi niyang pirmahan 'yon. Please come with me." Diana led the way.

"Sama na ako sa inyo, I also have to talk to the president." Arturo

"Ako din." Delfin

The four of them went to Oscar's office. Oscar wasn't expecting Lily, so he was enlightened to see her.

"Magandang araw Mr. President." Lily greeted.

"Lily? Napadalaw ka?" Oscar can't help but smile.

"She came here to sign the papers Mr. President." Diana

"Ahh. Please have a seat." Oscar

"Thank you, Mr. President." Lily sits on the couch in the middle of the room as Secretary Olegario gives her the papers she needs to sign.

"Here are the papers, Ms. Cortez. Please sign them here." she pointed out.

As Lily signs the papers, Secretary Padua and Secretary Borja talked to the president regarding the problems that they need to report.

"Mr. President, we need to talk to you." Arturo

"Tungkol saan?" Oscar

"Tumataas na po ang bilang ng mga batang may Dengue, most specifically sa Tondo." Arturo reported.

"Nanaman? Diba nasolusyunan na natin yan before? Ano nanaman ba ang rason this time?" Oscar's smile was wiped off upon knowing this information.

"According to the DOH, it's because of improper waste disposal." Arturo

"Improper waste disposal?" Oscar furrowed his brows.

"Yes, Mr. President." Arturo

"I also have some reports to deliver sir." Diana

"Go on." Oscar

"Some Japanese investors backed out in investing sa power plant sa Magbanua." Diana

"What?! Akala ko na closed na ang deal na yan." Oscar in his slightly furious tone.
