The Courtship

They both sit down.

Lily: Gusto ko sanang sabihin sa'yo na, hindi ko muna matatanggap 'yong... uhm... 'yong—(she was cut off)

Oscar: It's okay, I understand. Alam kong nabigla kansa mga sinabi ko sa'yo, and you might think that I'm too fast.

Lily: Ga-ganon na nga.

Oscar: I'm not expecting your answer now. Liligawan pa naman kita eh. (he smiled) And hopefully, I'll receive that sweet "yes".

Lily: Thanks for understanding.

Oscar: It's nothing. Hindi naman kita minamadali. But I want you know that I'm sincere, at totoo lahat ng sinabi ko sa'yo.

Captain Salonga then entered the office.

Edwin: Mr. President, nandito po si General Dela Cruz. Gusto daw po kayong makausap.

Oscar: Sige, papasukin mo.

Oscar and Lily both stand up as General Dela Cruz enters the office.

Dela Cruz: Magandang araw Mr. President at Ms. Cortez.

Oscar just nodded and smiled.

Lily: Magandang araw. (then she smiled)

Oscar: What brings you here General?

Dela Cruz: I have some important news to deliver sir.

Lily: If you'll excuse me, mukhang importante ang pag-uusapan niyo.

Oscar: Sige Lily, see you later.

Lily just smiled at Oscar and left the room. She thought on going to her office. As she goes there, she is greeted by some employees.

She finally reached her office and immediately went in. She took minutes to look around the room. Slowly walking as she looks at every detail the room have. Then she walked towards her table and sat on the swivel chair, making herself comfortable.

Then she noticed a flower, laying on her table. She picked it up and sees a note attached to it. Lily opened the note and red it. The note says: "Good day beautiful lady! Have dinner with me? I'll wait for you at the dinning area, 7pm."
She immediately looked at her the time.

Lily: 5 o'clock. (she sighed) Dalawang oras pa.

Lily decided to wait. She kept on playing with the flower because of boredom.

Then finally, the time has come. She checked the time and saw that it's already passed 7:00. She stood up and headed to the door. Lily opened it and to her surprise, Oscar is standing in front of her.

Oscar: Hi! (jolly)

Lily: Oh, Oscar. Nandyan ka pala.

Oscar: You red my note?

Lily: Uhm... oo. Papunta na nga ako eh.

Oscar: Mabuti naman. Akala ko hindi mo nabasa, kaya naisipan kong daanan ka nalang dito.

Lily just smiled at him since she didn't know what to say.

Oscar: Tara na?

Lily nodded then they both went to the dinning room. They had their dinner, had a little talk then Lily asked permission to leave and went home.

A month has passed. Oscar is still courting Lily and their feelings for each other grew. He always leaves flowers on her table everyday with a simple note attached to it. They often eat lunch or dinner together to get to know each other more.
