Chapter 10: Meet the New Manager

"Ara, I need your manager there to handle some business here with me." Ara's mother, Ms. Conchita, the Chairman, said to her.

Ara cannot decline the request of her mother. Then she think about who can replace her current manager as they need a lot of paperworks to do. She think of Lance, but Lance is the Public Relations Officer of the company and the company needs him. She think of other personnel who can easily understand of what a Talent/ Business Manager/ Personal Assistant/ Spokesperson can do. Then she realize there is only one person who fits the role, someone whom she could find cannot resist her favor.

"Ok Mom, I have a replacement." Ara already confirmed despite she was not yet able to talk to that someone.

She called her driver and they went to the recording studio, still in her white corporate dress. It was yet 10am and she still have time to get the replacement and have it talk to her current manager at 3pm for the turnover, before he will immediately depart to the US.

When they arrived, the people outside are looking at her going towards Patrick's office. The employees get shocked when she get inside immediately and ask their immediate supervisor to talk with her at the pantry.

Employees get startled while getting curious about their serious and urgent talk then they look at Patrick who remains calm.

Minutes later, Ara and Mr. Salvador went out. Ara then grab Patrick's hand and pull him to join with her as she said thank you to their immediate supervisor.

Ara and Patrick walk together with the driver at their back. Ara holds Patrick's arm as he finds it in pleasure that Ara deeply needs him.

While inside the car, Ara said.

"Patrick, please do not refuse. I deeply need you right now and the rest of the days. I believe only you can do this for me. Please."

Patrick gets startled, reckoning perhaps he cannot meeet her expectations. "What is that in particular Ara?"

"I want you to be my Manager."

"Manager? Look at me Ara. I cannot even represent myself."

"I will help you how Patrick. Please do it for me Patrick. I deeply need you to be with me."

Patrick is hesitant to accept, but because of Ara, he then said "Ok. Ok. I will do it for you. That's how much I love you."

Ara gets overwhelmed, then she kissed Patrick's cheek and said "You are so handsome! Thank you."

Patrick then hugs her so tightly, taking chances this moment.

They take their early lunch together, then they went to a boutique, the maker of corporate outfit.

Patrick then ask her why they went to this expensive boutique "Why are we here Ara?"

Ara confidently said "I will make you look more presentable and more confident!" Then she smiled. Patrick finds her cute that makes him laugh, then responded "Ok" with a smile.

Ara have him seated at the sofa while her and the sales lady choose the suits for him.  She then asked him to wear each of them until they arrived at 14 sets of suits for him. Ara then selected one which he should wear right now. Ara finds him so attractive and incredibly gorgeous in dark blue polo matched with black necktie and gray pants and black shoes.

She was carried away by his looks as he looks at her seemingly asking her if it fits well to him. She leans herself towards him and fix his outfit, when she accidentally touches his chest. Then she stares at him until their eyes met. He then wrap her waist with his arms as he is about to kiss her, when she gets back to her normal consciousness. "I have to pay first Patrick." Then she bowed her head in shynesss, feeling vulnerable.

She paid all the stuff they buy and she handed the items towards the driver to bring it inside the car. She gets quiet while the embarrassment of being vulnerable is still there with her. Patrick placed his arm in her shoulder as they go out from the boutique.

Then they meet at a restaurant. The time is exactly 3pm when they arrived and Patrick finally meet Ara's current manager.

Ara's current manager is in his mid-forties, a married man with 4 children already. All his family is living in the US except him, because he was requested by Ara's mother to take care of her. He is a long time employee of Ara's mother in the US. And now her mother needs him now as urgent as he can to get back to the US.

Ara's current manager said that he already informed Ara's mother that he will be replaced by Ara's ex. He also said to Patrick that Ara's mother already know beforehand who is Ara's ex before she get back to the US. Patrick, without getting obvious, gets embarrassed deep inside that perhaps Ara's mother already know what he did to her daughter. The manager then tell that Patrick does not have to worry as Ara's mother is ok with him as the new manager and that she is confident that Patrick will take good care of her this time.  The manager then talk to him about their errands with Ara as her manager and turnover what it needs to turnover. Then finally, the manager bid goodbye to both of them and wish them well and hope they will be together again.

The next days, Ara helped him execute his managerial responsibilities and introduce him to various companies having an arrangement and endorsements with her. Patrick is impressed she is getting hands on towards him and she knows very well in details even if she is very busy. No wonder why her former manager did not anymore get specific as to his turnover. It finds Patrick very hard first as he is not confident of dealing with those executives but later, he gains more confidence, especially that they find him admirable and a warm person as well especially his gentle smile. They tease them together and some of them thought they are a couple, which Patrick finds it pleasure to him.
