Unrequited

Chapter 11: Bringing Back Memories

As he engaged himself towards Ara's daily errands, he realize that she is supposed to be restless but he cannot see it in her as she is consistently graciously handled herself from morning as a CEO until the evening as a tv news personality. He noticed Ara did not even hire a Personal Assistant to assist her in doing makeup and fixing her clothes. At first, during her night time show, he just look at her from afar while fixing herself at the dressing room. But later, he realize she indeed needs assistance but she just handled it all by herself. He think she needs water, a coffee, or a muffin perhaps, as he noticed she gets slimmer each day, and that he is afraid she might get sick. He bought water, coffee and muffin. During her break, he gave it to her.

"Thank you so much Patrick. Am really starving and thirsty. Thanks a lot for being thoughtful."

Patrick smiled at her, showing to her that he appreciates it a lot.

Then he fixed outfits for her, even applying her make-up and fixing her hair he did it towards her. They both make a laugh, Ara teasing Patrick being a gay make-up artist and hairstylist, which Patrick, finds it pleasure making her laugh.

They have a very good talent - manager relationship and as friends that they both agreed to so many things. They indeed a match made in heaven. For them, being friends right now is the lightest feeling they ever have, no pressures and so relaxing that what they both think is only at the present moment.

Then one day, it was Saturday, when they are going out from Ara's guesting, Patrick's babysitter called him that his son is having a fever, Patrick is asking her favor if they could drop by at his condo to check his son who is having a fever. Ara is pleased to agree with him and they went to Patrick's condo.

When they arrived, Ara noticed Patrick is still living in the same condo. As they get inside, it is in a different setup anymore, in bright lights, unlike before it is in a dim lights. Patrick have Ara seated at the living room while he is checking his son at the bedroom located at the left side. As she recalled, Patrick's bedroom before is located at the right side while left side is the guest room. The bedroom at the right side is left opened a bit, after she saw Patrick went inside and out from that room. She saw something from that room that recalled of her past with him together, the radio. She noticed that the radio is still there inside that room. She wondered why that radio is still there, so she take a glimpse of it, until she saw a lot of pictures of him and her together posted along the walls of that bedroom. The setup of the bed and the furniture is still the same as before, including the smell of Patrick's body, seemingly he is still sleeping in that room. To her mind, perhaps, Trisha and their son and him are sleeping at the other room at the left side. Then the traumatic memories come into her mind, the horrible memories that she tries to forget through all these years, that is when she saw vividly how Trisha groans when she seated at the top of Patrick's body in that bed. Her heart gets aching and she cried in tears when Patrick saw her went inside that room.

"Patrick, I have to leave."

"Ara, why"

Ara did not anymore listen to him. She rushed herself going down through the elevator until she get to her car. Better that she has duplicate in it, then she drived herself home, with her heart starts to have pain.

Inside her bedroom at her house, she feels hardly to breathe. She seated on her bed and called her doctor to go to her house and do a check on her heart.

Minutes later, Ara's doctor arrived at her house and the mayordoma escorted him towards Ara's bedroom.

Inside the bedroom, the doctor said "Ara, you need to take a leave from your work. Your heart is not ok and you need a lot of time to rest. Have you experienced something that triggers your heart?"
