Nova woke up early the next morning. She looked to her side and saw Anne in a deep slumber. Nova got up and walked down the stairs to see Marilla already in the kitchen, making breakfast.

"Good morning." She quietly but loud enough for Marilla to hear. The older woman turned around to face the teen. "Good morning. Did you sleep alright?" She asks the blonde while getting the kettle off the stove.

Nova smiles, "I did, thank you for letting me stay."

Marilla smiled at Nova, grabbing cups for the both of them. "It's no problem, dear. I have already been out this morning and I made sure that your mother knew you were here. I also asked if you wanted to, of course, if you would like to come along with us to Charlottetown tomorrow to keep Anne company. She said you can, if you'd like."

Nova smiled and nodded. "Of course."

At about lunch time, Nova made her way home. She finally got home, having a conversation with her mother and father about going to Charlottetown, which they were, thankfully, okay with.

The day leading up to Nova and Anne's trip to Charlottetown was very uneventful, filled with thoughts and regret.

Nova made it back to Green Gables. She saw Jerry and Anne getting the sleigh ready for travel. They were bickering back and forth with each other.

When the red head saw Nova, she smiled. "Nova! Aren't you ecstatic for this wonderful day?" The girl said with such happiness. Nova smiled and nodded, "I am. Are we almost rea-" She got cut off by a girl's voice.

"Anne!" Nova turned to see the owner of the voice was Diana Barry. Diana looked over and saw Nova. "Hi Nova." She said with a smile.

"Diana! W-What are you doing here?" Anne said, looking at her friend that was out of breath.

"I'm so glad I caught you guys. I brought you something to sell." The brunette said, pulling a hairbrush from the small bag she was carrying. Anne furrowed her eyebrows, "Oh, Diana, are you sure?"

Diana nods, "Of course I'm sure." She smiles. Anne gives her hug, "Thank you."

Nova looks over to see Marilla coming out of the house. Marilla looks to Nova and Diana, "Morning Nova, Diana." She nods to the girls. "Good morning, Miss Cuthbert. I just came to say goodbye" Diana says back.

Nova smiles at the older lady as her response. The blonde makes her way to her seat in the sleigh when Marilla looks to both of the girls. "Make sure you guys make it to Miss Barry's be nightfall, okay?" Nova nods immediately. "Yes ma'am." Anne looks at Marilla, "We will. Be sure to tell Matthew not to worry." She says giving Marilla a kiss on the cheek. "Everything will be alright, you'll see." Anne smiles. Jerry clicks his tongue at the horse and they were off on their journey.

A while down the road, after Jerry and Anne bickered with one another, Anne looked over to Nova. "Are you okay?" Nova looks to the red head.

She nods, "Yeah, why?" She furrowed her eyebrows. "I don't know, I heard Gilbert left. I know how close you guys were."

She said, while looking away, watching the trees pass by.

Promises aren't always true. It's a lie you want to keep.

The three kids made it to Charlottetown in one piece. Nova got off the sleigh and looked to the red head. "Hey Anne?" Nova said, gaining Anne's attention. Nova pulls a small cloth bag from under her shawl. "I brung these for you." She says with a small smile. Nova pours her old jewelry onto her glove-covered hand. Anne looked at the jewelry in Nova's hand in awe then looked at the blonde girl. "Are you sure? This is too much." She shook her head. Nova smiled, "I'm completely sure." She says, putting the jewelry back into the bag and handing it to her. Anne smiled back, "Thank you so much." She grabbed the box with her dress that Matthew had just bought her and made her way into the shop.

Nova stood outside for a good minute waiting for the fiery, red head. She looked over at Jerry. "I just want to say thank you for riding us down here. It means a lot and I know it means a lot to Anne, even if she has a fiery temper." Nova said with a smile. Jerry smiled back and went on his way to go put the horse in the stable.

"Nova?"
