Sans opened their eyes.

They were outside the door to the barrier room.They entered it and James was facing away from them.

"This is the barrier."James said as Sans smiles,happy to see him alive.

"This is what keeps us all trapped underground."James said.

"If...If by chance you have any unfinished business...Please do what you must."James said 

"I do..."Sans said

"Then when you are finish just return here,Okay,I'll be waiting"James said with a smile as Sans left the room

Sans ran out of the castle to make their way to the elevator

Sans continued running,taking the elevator to the Core and out of it,entering Igneous Rock.Sans took the elevator to the first floor.

Sans was about to knock on the lab door when they got a phone call from Alex.

"Hello?"Sans said as they answered the phone.

"Hey,brat!How are you?So...Since you're here...Can...Can you do me a favor?I need you to deliver something for me if that's okay with you."Ava asked as Sans smiles.

"Sure!I'll see you at Snowy village?Cause I'll be there in a few minutes,I just gotta take the river person's boat ride."Sans said as Rocky could be heard barking.

"Yes,Rocky,They're coming.You'll get to see your cuddle buddy again.Thanks,monster.But I have to say,ever since you gave me that water,Rocky has been over the moon just hearing about you.Now come on,I miss ya."Ava said as Sans smiles.

"Alright,see you there."Sans said before hang up as they approached the save point and saved their progress.

Sans ran to the river and smiled when they saw the river person.

"Buh Dum Dum Dum...Ah,you seem to be in a much better mood.Where shall we go today?"River person asked as Sans climbs into the boat.

"Snowy Village,please!"Sans said as the cloaked figure nods and pushing off of the shore.

"Off we go then."River person said

When they reached Snowy Village,Sans thanked the River Person and ran to Alex and Frisk's house.

They smiled when they saw Ava,Alex and Rocky waiting.

Sans ran up to them as they smiled.

"HELLO MONSTER!You seem pretty happy!But...I thought you were going to see the King and ask him where your friend is and to leave?"Alex asked as Sans frowns.

Sans knew they probably couldn't go home at all.But...It was better than the other ending where James died.

"Well...Him and I have to fight.There's no way around it.I can't go through the barrier with just my soul alone...While my friend...He's name was Asriel...But he's been dead for years..."Sans said as the two gasps.

"What?"Apollo asked as Sans nods.

"Oh no...Monster I'm so sorry for your loss"Alex said with sorrow

"Thanks Alex,anyways it takes a monster soul AND a human soul.If I want to go home...I...I don't really feel like talking about it right now.However he said that if I have any unfinished business,I need finish them.So that's just what I'm doing right now!"Sans said as Ava smiles.

"Well,I'm glad.So,here's the letter.I need you to deliver it to Dr.Emma."Ava said as Sans looks at it.

"So how come you aren't delivering it yourself?I'm just curious is all."Sans asked as Ava blushes.
