Sans regained consciousness and stand up.The elevator was dark as door was open. They stepped out as the doors shut tightly behind them.

Sans looked around. It looked like they were in a hospital unlike the area upstairs, which just looked like living quarters.

This...Was the True Lab.

Sans walked around. The area was dark as it looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a long time.

A display turned on as Sans walked by as they approached it and saw it had an entry on it.

"ENTRY NUMBER 1:This is it...Time to do what the King has asked me to do.I will create the power to free us all.I will unleash the power of the SOUL."it said as Sans got nervous.

Another display lit up.

"ENTRY NUMBER 2:The barrier is locked by soul power...Unfortunately,this power cannot be recreated artificially.SOUL power can only be derived from what was once living. So,to create more,we will have to use what we have now...The SOULs of humans."it said as Sans frowns.

There were other displays as Sans read them all.

"ENTRY NUMBER 3:But extracting the soul from a living human would require incredible power...Besides being impractical, doing so would instantly destroy the SOUL's host. And,unlike the persistent SOULs of monsters...The SOULs of most humans disappear immediately upon death. If only I could make a human's SOUL last..."it said

"ENTRY NUMBER 5:I've done it.Using the blueprints,I've extracted it from the monster SOULs.I believe this is what gives their SOULs the strength persist after death. The will to keep living...The resolve to change fate.Let's call this power...'Determination.'"it said as Sans gasps.

Sans continued down the hallway while feeling very scared and nervous.

They came to a room with a door with what looked like four power sources. There were some potted plants,a vending machine and a save point.

Sans saved their progress just in case.

Sans looked in the vending machine. They bought a bag but was surprised. It wasn't popato chisps...It was a regular old bag of potato chips.

Sans picked up a note on the floor. It said to use the north door to turn the elevator back on if it lost power.Sans put the note back down as they walked down a hallway.

Sans read another display on the wall.

"ENTRY NUMBER 6:JAMES asked everyone outside the city for humans that had "fallen down." Their bodies came in today. They're still comatose, and soon, they'll all turn to Cosmic dust. But what happens if I inject "determination" into them?If their SOULs persist after they perish,then...Freedom might be closer than we thought."it said as Sans worried. They knew determination not only a source of power,it had other side effects.

They walked into the next room which had operating tables in it as they read a nearby display.

"ENTRY NUMBER 9:Things aren't going well.None of the bodies have turned to Cosmic dust,so I can't get the SOULs.I told the families i would give them the dust back for the funerals.People are starting to ask me what's happening. What do i do?"it said as Sans sighs.

Sans looked at the operating tables and flinches when they saw they were sticky.

Sans entered a doorway as they saw a generator with a red keyhole. There was a note on the floor.

"Drain.........Dropped it......."It said.

Sans left the room and turned on the sinks. However when they turned on the last one, instead of water coming out a weird, sticky liquid slowly oozed out of it,sitting in the sink.
