Jessie's POV

As nervous as I was,I still braced up for a wonderful time during my birthday party.
I looked at the girl beside me with admiration.
She's perfect without her knowing it,the difference is clear and she is the most stunning girl I've ever seen.

I smiled remembering her earlier words of encouragements.Not many people had a rare gem as a friend so I'll make sure I always be true to our friendship.
Kate deserves that much.

I brush off the thoughts as we got to my bubbling birthday party.
Kate looked at me assuringly and I heaved in understanding.
She used her hands to make a smiley sign,
I laughed at her ridiculous behavior and put on a smile.

The door opened and as soon as we stepped out,everyone shouted in unison.
"Happy Birthday".Even Katie like it was planned.
I felt loved and happy."Thank You Everyone",I smiled.

"My Jessie looks so pretty',I turned immediately recognizing the voice.it was my dad's.
I ran Into his waiting arms in happiness which is all I've been feeling every since the beginning of the party.

"Happy Birthday jessie,he said and handed me a small present,I place the bag on the gift table.
curiosity could wait for now.
"Thanks Dad, I missed you so much".

'I miss my little princess to and I couldn't miss your birthday for anything in the world".

"Hello Mr Amber,its nice to see you again....
Hey katie,drop the formalities."Eden is fine by me".
Katie smiled and they continued conversing.

I saw my mom talking to some guest so I walked over to her.
"Mom thank you so much for everything,I hugged her.
She looked at me from my head to toe and covered her mouth in amazement.

"Jessie my princess,you're so beautiful,
Happy birthday".
"From now on you're a young lady so act like one".

I wave my hands."Hello I'm sixteen'.
She laughed and said, "Drama Queen".
One of her friends came and stole her attention so I walked back to Katie.

"Common let's go and find my friends"
Sure,she replied walking beside me.
How do you feel birthday girl? Katie asked.
"Mostly happy" I replied smiling to some people that acknowledged me.

I kept exchanging pleasantries with everyone as i walk past them.it's tiring yet it felt good.

Happy birthday Jessie a deep voice said behind me.
Thank...... I stop in shock.
It's Miles!
Thank.....I tried again to say something meaniful.

Kate squeezed my hands,still I continued to stare at him only smiling.
He looked at me waiting my response but none was forth coming.

Katie came to my rescue.
"She meant Thank You".
He smiled understandingly and complimented. "You look beautiful".

This time around I found my voice.smiling I say"thanks".
Everything seized again as I was in my own world only staring at Miles.
He coughed to draw my attention.

I blushed."Thanks for honoring my invitation".
I noticed he had another guy with him.it was the black guy from the other day.

'Happy birthday'he said and continued looking Kate's direction.
I offer my thank you and Watched as he and Kate exchanged looks.

What the heck is going on.....
Things were becoming arkward so I spoke up.
Katie and Miles both say sure at once
While the other guy chuckled at their response.

We sat down,the four of using facing each other,if you ask me its the perfect sitting position for me.
We beckoned to the waitress for drinks and I and Miles made small talks with me laughing at intervals.

Just as I thought I was having the best birthday of my life and the day couldn't get any better another shocker came through....
