Spring Day

a girl that can see ghost moves into a new home in a new state. soon, a boy ghost shows up and befriends our main character.

they get close and all

one scene they are at an ocean like place and she (our mc) finally close asks him (the ghost) how he died

he looks at her and replies that he doesn't know and then they both look out onto the sunset setting into the ocean.

she figures the reason he might not be willing or able to go into the light is because he doesnt know/remember or understand how he died.

she makes it her mission to find out ablut what happened to him.

Along the way, she starts liking him but he doesnt show any signs of liking her, but a good looking guy at her school takes interest in her and had been courting her.

in frustration, she concludes that the main male lead ghost guy probably just doesnt like her and when the guy at school asks her out, she agrees to go, making out ml show a tiny bit of jelousy but not alot

her scouffing: "pfft, what. are u jeloud ot something"

him rolling his eyes: "jelous of what"

a while after hanging out with the guy she actually starts developing feelings for the guy, our ml not showing out mc that he actually does like her, and finds out that the guy and her have many things in common and him eventually figuring out she can see ghosts and hes okay with it, "a little weird and cool."

Our ml starts showing jealousy and finally bursts out, "I LIKE YOU OK!!"

She laughs and replies, "and wtf am i suppose to do with that"

him: "i dont fucking know"

She slowly stops hanging out with the guy and starts developing her relationship with our ghost mc, but he again shuts off her feelings, her becoming frustrated.

and then just bursting her anger and frustration at him, questioning wtf is wrong with him

hes a little anger and frustrated too, breathing hard, slow and steady, calmly and then sighed in defeat, saying the truth in reality;

"im dead Shay." he looked up after saying that, hurt expressed in his lovely face, "im.. im dead."

silence fell as she absorbed the situation, soaking in the reality and truth. he shook his head sadly and vanished away like the ghost he is to leave shay alone in her bedroom to soak in reality.

shay stood there, silent and tears falling off her face.

she then sat in her bed and finally cried. reality setting in that she had fallen fof a ghost. someone who isnt really even real. someone she actually wanted a relationship with, a ghost. Someone she was hoping would court her and confess, a ghost.

She cried her heart out, finally accepting the truth.

a few days later, with our ml not showing up for a few days to give shay space, shay went back even digging harder into our ml's background on his origin, she finally made a simple breakthrough. the woman who last owned the house had the same last name as our ml and was still living close to the city they were in.

shay found the address and her house was close to the ocean they had visited.

she goes and knocks on the door and tells the woman who ahe is, where she camd from, what she can so, our ml and wanting to know if she knew who our ml is.

the woman comfirms everything and tells her she is our ml's mother and the story of what happened to him:

he was a senior on his fieldtrip with his friends and school on a fery ship when it capsuled and rolled onto its side, starting to sink. most ppl got out, but some were trapped and died.

shay asks her where our ml was buried. the woman cried and said the sunken ship was still out there, filled with the missing children underwater, stuck in the ship, forever lost without a proper burriel.

When shay finally sees our ml again he tells him everything and a scene later, reunites our ml and his mother, although her not seeing him.

She figures that he needs a burriel and that is why he is still here. He is a lost soul just like that kdrama, hmm whatchu call it?? huh i dont remember but it was a kdrama with grim reapers and maybe why he couldn't move on was because he was lost. his body lost.

they try to raise money and in the meantime shay and ml has started a relationship, officially gf and bf to the ignorance of them both now.

but soon they taide enough money and awareness of the pybluc and officald that the fery gets taken up and the dead bodies finally found.

our ml body recovered and found.

Shay and our ml has their confessins of i love yous, especially from him, and that if they ever get the chance to be reborn again, he hopes that they can be together for real this time. that they get to spend the rest of their lifes together and not just here.

the romance of the guy at school needs editing too because he and shay ends up together. not then and now when our ml has gone to the light and left,

but an epilogue on that he had been courting her and treating her well into their college years, with her mourning her lost ghost bf lover.

She finally lets go of her mourning and agrees to his date after years of pining after her.

the story had a love triangle, definitely.

inspired and in memory of the Sewol fery ship tragedy.. my heart goes out to the deceased and the family members of the children. ❤  Also inspired by spring day by bts in memorence of the tragedy.
