Carries boyfriend is suddenly emerged into a deep depression by his mothers death and failing school. As much as carrie tries to make him happy, it always backfires. Soon she finds herself crying to sleep and eating less. It is not until carries mothers friend that has a son her age start to live with them that she starts to remember the feelings of happiness.
