Chapter 38- Snow kiss

"We need to talk," we both said at the same time. I looked at him, narrowing my eyes.

"I'll go first," I said and stepped out the door.

"It's cold. Let's talk inside," He said rubbing his arms. I sighed and agreed. Why did I even step outside for?

Once inside, He sat down on the couch and I sat beside him.

"L.joe why-"

Two arms wrapped around me and I was pulled into L.joe's arms. What was he doing?!

"I'm sorry." that was all he said. I was dumbfounded. I couldn't push him away.

"I know you're angry and I didn't mean to do what I did," He continued.

"Then why did you do it? Why didn't you give me my phone?" I broke the hug and interrogated him.

"I'll be honest with you... I was jealous," He confessed.

"L.joe. Please don't do this to yourself," I ran my hand through my hair.

"Now... I came here to talk to you... about the Dance. You told Changjo that you were going with me, right?" He asked. I only nodded.

"He called me," He said looking into my eyes.

"What did he say?"

"He told me that if I went with you and did anything... He would no longer be my friend and that he's never going to contact me or you again," He looked down.

"I know. He told me the same," I sighed.

"You're going to cancel with me, aren't you?" He seemed down and nervous. I felt bad, honestly. I thought for some minutes. Maybe I shouldn't go?

"Do you want me to go?" I didn't know what to say.

"Of course I do, but I don't want to get in between you and Changjo. You decide, I'll respect your decision," He replied. Aww. He's really sweet. Why would Changjo say that he's trying to seduce me? pfttt his temper is really no joke.

"What he doesn't know, won't hurt him, right?" I forced a smile. In reality, I was feeling guilty. Going with L.joe won't hurt him right?

"You're right about that," L.joe showed his stunning smile.

After a while of joking around, He left and I had gotten my phone so I called changjo. It's morning in the states so he's probably awake.

"Changjo-"

"Hello! It's Changjo! I'm not available at this moment, so call me later or leave a message after the beep! oh and if it's Soojung... hmm Then I'll call you back as soon as possible! Love you haha," His old voice message echoed through my empty house.

"Beeeeep."

"Changjo. It's Soojung. I... I won't go with L.joe so don't worry. He also told me he won't get in between us. Let's just stay strong for the years to come. okay? Don't get mad too easily~ Life's too short to be angry. Don't skip your meals~ goodnight! I'm off to bed. Text me!" I left him a message. I felt bad for lying to him. He won't find out right? I decided to just go to sleep and try to not worry. Tomorrow was a big day.

The next morning I head toward school. L.joe and Sunni are outside together waiting for me. As usual L.joe is messing with her. I giggle as I head toward them while Sunni smacked L.joe on the back of the head.

"Hey girls," I joked.

"Yah! I'm a guy!" Laughed L.joe.

"So that's why you two looked like a couple," I winked at both of them.

"Y-yah! Even if I was crazy, I wouldn't date this guy!" She flushed red.

"Sunni. That's the same thing I said about Changjo and now look," I smiled.

"Now you're suffering because he moved far away," She answered. I looked down. She was right. She was right and I was trying to ignore that fact to stay strong but I couldn't. Changjo was thousands of miles away from me. I had to accept that.

"Yah... what's up with the sudden mood change? And why not? I'm handsome," L.joe flipped his bang back hotly.

"Why not, you ask? Because you're so chic...and short," Sunni replied and we all burst out laughing. Except for L.joe, he only rolled his eyes.

"Okay! It's cold. let's get going!" L.joe, changing the subject, walked past us and we followed, giggling behind him.

Soon we arrived to school. And not so soon, school ended. I tried to not to be nervous but I guess that didn't work. As soon as I got home I called Sunni. She got to my house as fast as possible and we started to prepare ourselves for the dance.

Like always she convinced me to doll myself up. why was I feeling so nervous? was it because I was hiding this from Changjo? Was I afraid that he could find out?

We stepped outside and it was freezing cold. We ran into L.joe's fathers car before we actually froze.

"Excited?" L.joe asked, a wide smile pasted on his lips. I nodded while Sunni shook her head no.

"I feel like a third wheeler," groaned Sunni.

"You are one," Joked L.joe.

"Yah. You are not. Besides I asked you to come with me," I told her.

"Okay we're here," Sunni said and got out of the car, running into the school, leaving me and L.joe alone.

"She's such a dork," He joked.

"I guess," I replied. I still didn't feel any better. I didn't like lying to Changjo, especially when he told me not to. I knew that I didn't have to listen to what he said but he was my boyfriend and what I would be doing would upset me if I were him.

"Ready to go in?" L.joe asked, snapping me back to reality. I nodded. We entered the school's gym and woah, it was beautifully decorated. Colorful lights everywhere. I was amazed on how an ugly gym could be turned into such a beautiful dance place.

"May I have this dance?" L.joe asked with a smile. I felt warm inside as soon as I took his hand. He led me to the center of the dance floor and everyone oohed and awed.

We danced to slow songs and up beat songs. the night was fun.

"Let's go eat some snacks," I told L.Joe as I headed toward the food court. I ate snacks until my hearts content. L.joe just chuckled.

"Wai all you waffing?" I asked with food in my mouth as I shot him a glare.

"I never knew you could eat so much," He said and just laughed. I shrugged my shoulders like it was nothing.

"It's snowing!" someone yelled, causing everyone to run outside. Including me.

"Woah!" It was beautiful.

"Finally a white Christmas, huh?" L.joe said beside me.

"How do you know we never had a white Christmas before?" I asked him.

"I heard," He gave me smirk. I laughed.

"It's Beautiful," I sighed. Everyone started to go back inside since it was freezing.

"Like you," I heard L.joe say.

"What?" I turned to look at him, and when I did, He leaned in and pressed his warm lips against mine.

I didn't move or push him away. I was too shocked to do anything at all.

He broke the kiss and I stood there, not able to say anything.

"W-what did you just d-do?" I asked. I tried to sound angry.

"It's called... snow kiss," he whispered into my ear, causing my heart beat to increase.
