A few weeks after Yo left back to university May discovered she was again pregnant and was not looking forward to having another kid, or 2, while she still had 3 in diapers. What she couldn't understand is how Pha was so excited to have another child but once he heard the news, she saw his face light up like a Christmas tree. Seeing how happy this made Pha was enough for her to continue with this pregnancy. It wasn't going to be easy, but this was the life she chose so May would do the best job she could. May was glad to have extra help around the house and Pha was proving that he would be there for the kids. While Yo was away at school Pha now spent every night at her place and often took care of the children in the middle of the night, allowing her to get some more sleep.

Prae was coming up on her 1st birthday and could already stand up, provided she was holding on to something. She could also now say a few words apart from dada. Moma, no, pwetty were some of the other words that their little princess could spit out as she babbled on. May had her hands full that Pha ended up taking 2 weeks off work to lend her a hand, as their housekeeper had a family emergency and need the time off work. As each day passed Pha was being drawn further and further into his new life and without realising it was slowly pushing Yo out.

Of course, Pha would still talk to Yo daily and video call when he could but he found himself less and less interested in his husband's life as he'd rather spend that time bonding with his children. At first Yo didn't seem to notice Pha was losing interest in their conversations but one day Pha had completely spaced out as he was too busy staring at pictures, he had taken of his 3 little angels. He was so lost in his own little world that he hadn't even heard Yo's big announcement.

You see Yo had done such a great job, and ended up top of his class, that he was offered a research fellowship over the summer. This would mean he wouldn't be coming home to see Pha and Pha couldn't see him as he had a massive project to work on. "Are you even listening to me Pha?" Yo practically screamed at him over the phone. The loud noise startled Pha back to reality and he quickly spat out "Sorry work has just been really busy lately that I haven't been getting enough sleep. " Yo felt like Pha wasn't being completely honest, as this whole conversation Pha seemed a little more distracted than usual, but he continued on. "What I was saying is that I was offered a research fellowship at one of the top research institutes in the country. It means I won't be able to come back home before I start my master's program."

Yo had already decided a few months ago he was going to get his masters and PHD here and Pha had fully supported his decision. When Pha heard Yo wasn't going to be coming back for the holidays instead of being disappointed in not being able to see his husband he was excited to be able to spend more time with his children. "I'm so proud of you Yo. This is such a huge honour and I know you will do well." Yo knew Pha would approve of his decision, he knew how much this meant to him, but he didn't seem fazed that he wouldn't be seeing him for quite some time. "I know it's a great opportunity, but I will miss not seeing you. I hate being so far away from you my love." "Me too baby" Pha replied "I miss you each and every day but we both know you will do great. You are the smart one out of the two of us."

Yo couldn't put his finger on it but there was something up with Pha and it was driving him nuts just thinking about it. Soon the conversation drifted to more superficial topics but after half an hour Pha said he had to go as there was problem at work that needed his immediate attention. Yo reluctantly hung up the call, unable to shake the feeling that his husband why hiding something from him.

As soon as Yo disconnected Pha immediately went back to work. He was actually looking at getting May a bigger place, one with a fair-sized back yard, as her and the kids would soon outgrow the place, they were currently living in. There was one only 20 minutes from his work that had 6 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, an ensuite in the master bedroom and a spacious outdoor area. It was a little pricey but Pha believed it was worth it as his children needed a place, they could call their own, one they could grow up in. Deciding that it was the right move to make Pha went through the process and a week later the house was now officially his, well May's as he once again put it in her name.

She was only a few weeks pregnant when her former boss explained that her and the kids would be moving into a bigger and better house, one closer to him so he could drop by in an emergency. The old house would still be in her name and she could either rent it out or sell it, the choice was hers. Before moving in Pha had already furnished the house so there wasn't much that needed to be moved over, which was a relief for May. Lately Pha had been giving her and their children a lot more attention, it was like his priorities had changed. Sure, he was always there for the kids in the past, especially since he practically lived with her while Yo was away, but it seemed like a lot more was going on.

What surprised her the most was that Yo wouldn't be coming home for the summer break so Pha was all hers for those 3 months, which was good as her 3 children were quite the handful. In all honesty Pha loved spending time with his family and was glad that Yo would be away so he wouldn't have to sneak around his husband's back so to speak. His 3 little angels were his whole world and he would do anything to protect them, even if it meant losing Yo in the process. Pha still loved Yo dearly but he wasn't the most important person in his life anymore, his little babies were.
