Taehyun couldn't believe last night was real. His father brought in 4 mafia members and they were being interrogated. A boy named soobin apparently gave a whole recited note on the location and identities of a sex trafficker and the mafia boss who had Hueningkai. They were all arrested last night. He hadn't been allowed to see either of his friends like he wanted seeing as they both went to a private emergency room to avoid any mafia attempts at ending the line of proof.
Now he was waiting alongside the boy named soobin and one of the alleged mafia bosses son. They all looked like hell.
"How do you shoot someone on accident?" Taehyun asked angrily towards soobin.
"He grabbed me....I didn't know it was Kai...." Soobins face was in his hands.
"Oh so you've gotten close enough to be on nicknames hm?But you couldn't report to police and send him home? Their parents still don't even know theyre alive and found." Taehyun scoffed towards the two pitiful boys.
"You...don't even get me started on you....you're disgusting....using him as a toy? There's no way he jumped in front of a bullet for you I know your the mafias prince." Taehyun spit insults towards yeonjun. Yeonjun didn't even listen, he was staring at the wall in his own world.
"The last thing I said to him was accusing him, yelling at him....and leaving him....and his last words to me were, "I'm on your side" If you really don't believe that I care about him after all of this. Then I have nothing more to say to you ..." Yeonjun said sounding like someone in shock.
"Stop blaming soobin, he's telling the truth too. We're all in the same situation. Believe it or not." Yeonjun shifted his gaze from the wall to the floor, waiting.
"I believe you." Taehyun huffed and brushed his hair back, clearly stressed. "I just don't trust you. Both of my friends are hurt."
Soobin was about to say something in their unfriendly get-to-know-eachother conversation when a nurse came in.
"Hueningkai is in stable condition thanks to the vest he was wearing underneath. I need confirmation that you'll keep this secret sir." The nurse came with a clipboard to Taehyun. They were in the mafias hospital and of course they didn't want word of this out. Taehyun understood, signing the paper.
Soobin stood and held the nurses shoulders eager. "When can we see him?!"
"You can go now but he is still asleep." The nurse didn't even get to finish before the talk boy bolted down the ER.
"And what about the blonde boy that came with him?!" Yeonjun stood, afraid of her answer.
The nurse frowned. "I wasn't operating on that boy, I have no idea, another nurse will come when they have an update for you." The nurse bowed in apology.
Yeonjun sighed and waved her off, understanding.
Yeonjun sat back down, wondering why Taehyun didn't rush to see Hueningkai.
"Stop staring at me. I know what you're thinking. I just don't want to see them looking sick, I'll see them when theyre up and walking, I just wanted to stay to get updated." Taehyun said, giving an equally as aggressive stare back to yeonjun.
"....I know we got off on the wrong foot....but could you tell me about beomgyus normal life? " Yeonjun asked, hoping to grow closer with beomgyus friend while learning more about beomgyu.
"Only if you tell me what's been going on at your mansion." Taehyun crossed his arms.
"Deal ." Yeonjun smiled.
Soobin sat besides Hueningkai and read over his clipboard. The nurse didn't lie he was asleep so soobin couldn't really talk to him right now. He was happy just to see the rise and fall of his chest right now.
Soobin was actually a bit relieved that Hueningkai was asleep, he didn't know how to talk to him after all this. Should he ask his questions? Should he pretend like nothing happened?
The biggest thing he wanted to know was what yeonjun and him both talked about in the waiting room before Taehyun arrived.
Hueningkai wasn't working at the mansion of free will, he wasn't working at all, he was the mole, and he had a family and normal life to get back to. Soobin didn't want to think about this but he couldn't help but wonder if anything Hueningkai said to him was true. It made soobin feel small.
Even if Hueningkai had lied...it was real to him, he still wanted to hang out with Hueningkai, be his friend...be his...
If hueningkai wakes up he will want to go home to his family, soobin understood that, but he didn't want to say goodbye.
Soobin held hueningkais sleeping hand and gave it a soft kiss, letting his emotions get the better of him. He had no idea what to do.
"Wait what?He did that?" Taehyun looked like he was about to have a heart attack.
"Yeah, that's why I was kind of wondering if.. " yeonjun gave Taehyun a suggestive look that asked his whole question for him.
"ME AND BEOMGYU?! NO WERE FRIENDS. HE KISSED YOU?!" Taehyun couldn't believe this, there was no way this boy was telling the truth.
"Three times." Yeonjun said proudly.
"Wow.... There's no way.....maybe he could have Stockholm syndrome....aisshh we need to take him to therapy after this too?!" Taehyun rubbed his temples.
Yeonjun frowned. He didnt treat beomgyu like a prisoner, so he would falsely love him because of Stockholm syndrome right?
"There's no way...beomgyus not even gay!" Taehyun laughed trying to think of a reasonable way to kill this blue haired boy for stealing and ruining his best friends.
"He's not gay?... " Yeonjuns heart plummeted, this was only making him feel more and more worried about beomgyu recovering and leaving yeonjun's life for good. Yeonjun believed beomgyu though, because for all it was worth, beomgyu took a bullet for him even after a bad fight, and he said he was on his team.
"You're wrong, I know that I'm not ideal but I really do care about beomgyu, otherwise I wouldn't have let you in this hospital." Yeonjun smiled to Taehyun.
Taehyun couldn't argue with him there, this was a private hospital and yeonjun had let the boy in because he was their friend. For that at least, he owed yeonjun.
"I at least kept him fed and well until the accident he has no signs of me abusing him you can check his checkup after theyre done. It'll prove I'm right." Yeonjun said confidently.
"Or his autopsy." Taehyun said, seeing a crying nurse coming down the hallway.
