It was the lifeguard that was jingling....but that wasn't a good thing ....
Hueningkai had heard one lifeguard call out to the other, it sounded like one went to the lazy river and one had been after him. He quietly used the dark to his advantage, hiding under the diving board of the pool before climbing into the sidewalk.
He could hear soobin calling him but was not about to give away his location. Especially not when he heard the familiar sound of a gun cocking.
Please soobin...stop calling...go hide...go run...Hueningkai was surprised to stop hearing soobin calling, as if he had communicated telepathically.
Hueningkai was terrified. It was exactly the same as with beomgyu....they were hanging out and it suddenly got dark ..a vans doors closed and guns loaded. Then they were taken away.
Hueningkai held a hand over his mouth trying not to let cries or whimpers out. He felt a doorknob and tried to quietly go inside, only making the slightest click noise.
Hueningkai recognized the feeling of floaties under his hand as he scooted against the wall. He must've been in a storage room.
He held his knees to his chest and tried taking deep breathes, threatening to hyperventilate.
Hueningkai bite his sleeve to muffle his sounds, but only scared himself more feeling his hand shaking. The door rattled and he heard it open. Now he had nothing but pool noodles to fight the assailant. He was doomed. It would happen again, or he would get killed.
All hope left his heart when he felt a hand grab his arm, trying to recognize what it was.
Hueningkai lost it, he was already doomed so he didn't bother trying to be quiet.
"LET GO!!! I DONT WANT-" hueningkais words didn't come out coherent after that, mixing together in a jumble of cries and gasps while violently thrashing the person grabbing him.
"It's me! ITS SOOBIN!!" soobin wanted to cry when he heard Hueningkai sobbing and hitting him as if he were the assailant.
Soobin was hoping to find the attacked, thinking he had tried to escape through here, but found Hueningkai, which was even better.
"It's ok..I'm soobin...I've got you..- please don't cry. You're not going anywhere." Soobin wrapped his arms around Hueningkai, who made himself small in soobins grasp, gently hitting his chest.
"Why would- would you leave li-like that!..Mean...jerk..stupid." Hueningkai was rambling nonsense now, just trying to calm down while soobin held him, whispering to him. Running his hand over hueningkais hair softly.
Once Hueningkai had stopped hiccuping and crying, soobin took the chance to explain what he knew Hueningkai was trying to ask.
"Yeonjuns father is here, he dialed him as soon as the lights went out. Apparently he was stalking beomgyu. They're alright too, they caught both of them." Soobin was relieved when the lights suddenly clicked back on.
"Im sorry I left you." Soobin saw Hueningkai pink cheeks and puffy eyes, he looked so scared and delicate now, when he was laughing and playing around minutes ago.
"Don't look at me...it's embarrassing..." Hueningkai tried to wipe any sign of ever crying from his face. He had tried really hard to not let anything get to him. The man on the street, cars, doors closing, forget going to the bathroom alone at night. It hadn't worked so well.
"It's ok to cry about it, it wasn't fair. It was terrifying for anyone who would've gone through it." Soobin was scared of little things now too, he couldn't imagine all the things that scared Hueningkai.
"Soobin found Hueningkai sir." One of his father's men came to yeonjun, taking the lifeguard he had caught from his hands.
"Good. Have them both questioned before disposing of them." Yeonjun was relieved to have caught the creeps he KNEW would make a move. He was only worried whether or not there were more.
"Yeonjun?" A very angry voice came across. Yeonjun knew he was fucked as soon as he heard the voice.
"Beomgyu- go easy ok?" Taehyun wanted to stop the boy but one of yeonjun's men was giving him a medical checkup for the kick to the stomach.
"Beomgyu." Yeonjun replied the others name. More breathlessly relieved to say it than ever. Oh how he wanted to say it a million times over, and hold beomgyu, talk to him, give-
"HOW COULD YOU STALK ME AFTER REFUSING TO LET ME SEE YOU IT WAS YOU ON THE ROOF THAT NIGHT RIGHT?!! ASSHOLE!!" beomgyus did not give yeonjun the things he was wanting.
"I know ..you're mad but I did it for a reason!" Yeonjun tried to defend himself against the raging blonde.
"YOU KNEW SOMEONE WAS STALKING ME AND USED ME AS BAIT?!? YOU COULD HAVE TOLD ME AND JUST STAYED!!" beomgyu wanted to hit yeonjun but restrained himself by clenching his fists and yelling.
"If I told you then you would've been too afraid to act along....if I were beside you they wouldn't attack, and I would've have caught them. Please beommie ...." Yeonjun had a soft voice now, sounding wounded.
Beomgyu let out a sharp breath of frustration and sighed, opening his arms.
"Oh! Right away. MEDIC!" yeonjun tried calling over a medic, thinking beomgyu wanted a checkup on his stitches.
"NO YOU DUMB FOX I WANT A HUG!" beomgyu facepalmed and crosses his arms, burning the idea of offering a hug again.
Yeonjun sulked like a fox with his ears down, feeling guilty and touch starved.
Beomgyu stayed still, yeonjun waited for him to leave towards Hueningkai and Soobin, who were also getting checkups, but he remained motionless.
A few awkward silent minutes passed.
".....well??" Beomgyu finally gave up waiting and just gave a smile to yeonjun. Yeonjun took that as an invitation and was embracing beomgyu in less than a heartbeat.
Yeonjun could smell the shampoo off beomgyus hair from getting splashed in the pool, he could hear beomgyus heartbeat speed up, and could feel beomgyus chest rise and fall with his soft breathes.
It was all worth it, nothing would separate them now. Beomgyu yelped with a giggle when yeonjun pinched his waist.
"You've gotten too skinny..."
