New To The Area | Jonah Marais *pt.3* (some Daniel)

4 months later
3rd Person POV:

"Good morning, baby." Jonah whispers gently, tucking a strand of Evie's hair behind her ear. The morning LA sun shines through the curtains, illuminating Jonah's face in a summer glow.

"Good morning" Evie whispers back, snuggling up closer to Jonah. She tucks her head further into his neck and lets out a breath she didn't know she was holding, melting into his arms. "Do you want to get out of bed?" Jonah asks, running his fingers through Evie's hair.

"No." She mumbles, not moving at all. Jonah lowly chuckles, his morning voice evident. He wraps his arms tighter around her waist, and he pulls her onto his chest. He buries his face in Evie's neck, and they stay like that until Evie drifts off to sleep again.

Evie and Jonah connected instantly when they became friends, and quickly developed feelings for each other. Jonah had finally grew the balls to ask her out on a date, and it was one of the best decisions he's ever made. They've been dating for 4 months now, their 5th month of being together only 2 weeks away.

1 hour later:

Evie wakes up and she slowly opens her eyes, to see that Jonah is not there. She slowly sits up, covering her eyes from the sun shining through the window. She reaches over to the bedside table and grabs her phone, turning it on and checking the time; 10:34 am.

The smell of freshly cooked pancakes drifts into Jonah's bedroom, making Evie's stomach grumble from hunger. She peels off the covers and swings her legs off the bed, before making her way downstairs. "Morning sleepy head" Corbyn teases, look up from his phone.

"Morning" Evie replies, walking passed Daniel who is on FaceTime with Chloe. "Sup bitch" she says, standing in Chloe's view from Daniel's phone. "Wassup Hoe" Chloe replies, before Evie walks to the kitchen. "Why do girls greet each other like that?" Jack mumbles, staring at his phone.

"Hey." Evie says, walking into the kitchen to see Jonah finishing up the pancakes. He turns around and smiles at her, opening his arms. Evie shuffles across the kitchen tiles and straight into Jonah's arms, and he picks her up and places her on the kitchen counter. "How was your sleep?" He asks, pecking her on the lips.

"Good, but I got cold when you got out of bed." Evie says, leaning her forehead against Jonah's. "Sorry, I didn't want o wake you up. But... I made pancakes for us all." He says, smiling proudly at the end.

Evie giggles in response before hopping off the counter and walking to the living room, leaving Jonah in the kitchen to finish making breakfast. "By princess." Daniel says to Chloe over the phone, before ending the call and joining the conversation with everyone else.

4 Years Later

"Chloe!" "Evie!" Chloe and Evie both say frantically, as Evie enters the house. "You go first." Chloe says. "No, you go." Evie replies, holding the item behind her back. "We'll say it at the same time, okay? 3..2..1" "I'm pregnant" they both say, leaving each other shocked.

"No way!" Evie squeals, bringing out the positive pregnancy test from behind her back. Chloe reaches into her back pocket of her jeans and also pulls out a positive pregnancy test. "Oh my god." Chloe says, before bursting out laughing. Evie joins in on the laughter, before they calm down and sit on the couch.

"You know what's probably gonna happen if one of us has a boy and the other has a girl, right?" Evie says. Chloe looks up from her phone and looks at her, a smile forming on her face. "Yup, and I'll be very happy if it does happen." Chloe replies, laying down on the couch.

"Have you told Daniel yet?" Evie asks, moving Chloe's legs off the couch to sit down. "Not yet, he's coming over in 5 minutes. Have you told Jonah?" She replies.

"Yes. I was so scared of what his reaction would be, but he was so excited it was adorable." Evie says, smiling wide at the end of her sentence. "I'm honestly so scared, I don't know what he's going to say. What if he doesn't want a baby? What if-" Chloe begins, but get cuts off by Evie.

"He will want the baby, Chlo. He's amazing with kids and I've heard him and the boys talking about having their own, and Daniel seemed really excited when he started talking about it. Don't get so worried, you trust him right?". Chloe nods slowly, taking a deep breath as she reads a new text from Daniel.

"He's coming now." She says, starting to get even more nervous. "Calm down! He loves you, and when he finds out you're pregnant, he's going to love that little Fetus as well." Evie says, making Chloe laugh at the end.

"Hey." Daniel and Jonah say as they walk into the house. Jonah walks over to Evie and wraps his arms around her and hugs her from behind. "Hey baby" he whispers in her ear, his hot breath fanning on her neck. "Hey" she whispers back, her breath hitched in the back of her throat.

"Let's go into another room, I think they need some privacy." Evie whispers, taking a confused Jonah into her bedroom. As soon as Evie and Jonah get comfortable on her bed, they hear Daniel squeal from the living room making Jonah jolt up, while Evie just stays laying down.

"Oh yeah, Chloe's pregnant as well." She says nonchalantly, keeping her eyes on the screen. "Wow, okay." Jonah says, before laying back down on the bed and pulling Evie into his chest. He lightly kisses right below her jawline, before hiding his face in her neck and closing his eyes, ready to take a nap.
