"The three young men will arrive in 5 minutes. You'll have two weeks to decide on who you shall marry" my father declares. I sigh and lower my head, "yes father" I respond.

"Go and get your hair fixed by your mother" he snaps, his auburn hair falling down along his forehead. I nod and quickly curtsey to him, before speed walking down the large castle halls and into my bedroom where my mother patiently waits by my dressing table. "Hello mother" I sigh. I plop down into the chair and she starts carefully re-arranging a few strands of misplaced hairs.

"How are you, my dear princess?" She asks softly, sitting down next to me and flattening my light blue dress. "Why can't I decide on who I shall marry purely because I love the man? I don't wish to marry a man who is only marrying me as I am a princess" I huff.

"Oh dear y/n. I know how it feels to be forced into a marriage unwillingly. But I grew to love your father and I'm sure that'll happen with the man you choose. They're all quite ravishingly handsome men, I'm sure you'll have no trouble choosing" she smiles, trying her best to reassure me.

I let out a breath that I didn't know I was holding and look out the bay window seeing three carriages arrive in the front of the castle. I stand up and walk over, sitting down on the cushioned window sill and peering out. Three men step out of each carriage and I can already tell they're going to be snobby and rude.

"Princess! It's time to meet the three young men" a guard booms, walking into my room without knocking. I roll my eyes and he goes to link his arm with mine as I walk up to him but I brush past him, hearing him sigh knowingly at my sudden change of mood.

"No man is going to wish to marry a young women with that attitude, daughter. Drop it" my father snarls, forcefully linking my arm with his as we walk through the Victorian halls.

"If he doesn't wish to marry a young woman who gets an attitude when her father forces her to marry some snobby, gold digger of a stranger, then he can leave and marry another young woman" I snap, unlinking my arm and walking on my own.

"Everyone, please welcome ruler of the land Azruela, King James!" A lady says through a microphone, earning a loud applause from those present to the event. "Thank you, thank you. I believe we should dive right into tonight's extremely special event so these three handsome young gentleman can meet the lady who they shall be challenged to marry. My beloved daughter, Princess y/n" my father announces and the large oak doors open revealing myself and the 4 guards standing to the side.

All the screams and applause deafens me as I walk down the marble staircase, down onto the landing platform. The first man reaches his hand out and I gently place mine in his, allowing him to bow down. He leaves a lingering kiss on my hand and my face crinkles up, not liking the feeling of a strange man's lips on me.

"The name's Arthur, my love" he smirks. My face contorts into disgust at the pet name but falls back to my normal resting face as the other selection makes his way over. He takes my hand as well and bows, kissing my cheek once he stands up straight "Parker" he smiles. I move on to the next man and is still not impressed, his shiny gold rings scattering his fingers and his hair gelled back so much it looks as if it hasn't been washed for a month.

His smile grows into a creep-like smirk as he lightly pulls me into him by my hand, going to kiss me on the lips but I turn my face so his lips land on my cheek. "It's Richard" he murmers, sending cold shivers down my spine.

"Now that you've met all the men the two weeks have begun. Gentlemen, you have the whole length of two weeks to do your best to impress Princess y/n. May you all have equal luck" my father smiles, linking his arm with mine once again and we retreat back inside the main courtyard of the castle with the three men following suit.
