Date Night ~Zach Herron~

A/n - it's rlly late atm so I'm sorry for any mistakes I may have made 🥺😊

"Y/n your date is here" my roommate, Lyla says. I brush off my red dress and walk towards the front door. "Zachy!" I say wrapping my arms around him. "Hi bb" he says kissing my forehead. "How are you?" I ask as we walk into the kitchen. "I'm pretty good, the boys and  I have been working on our new album none stop." He says taking a seat at the breakfast bar. "Awe, is it almost done?" I ask. "That's a secret" he says tapping my nose. I scrunch my nose and laugh. "So, its your date idea tonight, what are we doing?" Zach asks. Each month one of us gets to decide on a date Idea and this month is mine. "We are gonna make Onigiri Rice Balls and chicken tenders" I say. He gasps when I say chicken tenders and I laugh. " let's get started then!" he exclaims.

I pull out the ingredients for the onigiri rice balls and start to put the rice into the rice cooker.  Zach pulls out his phone and connects it to the Bluetooth speaker. He plays some of our favourite songs and we dance around as we wait for the rice to cook. Once the rice is done I take the pot of rice over to the cutting board where I start to take out the rice and make little triangles with it. Zach stands behind me, his body pressed to mine as he fiddles with the rice. "I'm hopeless at this" he huffs. "No you aren't, here let me help you" I say grabbing his hands and helping him to mould the rice. We place in the salmon filling and wrap to seaweed around it before plating them.

"Chicken tenders now?" He asks. I laugh and nod. He pulls out the box of chicken tenders and places them in a tray then in the oven. "Now what?" He asks. "How about a dance?" I ask. He smiles and changes the music over to a slow song. He takes my hands in his and we dance around the kitchen, my head resting in his shoulder as we sway gently. "I love you, you know that right?" Zach says. " I know"I say, kissing him gently. We continue to sway until we hear the timer go off. We break apart and I pull the tenders out the oven. I plate the rice balls and the tenders on plates along with some soy sauce and some ketchup. We go and sit down on the couch and we eat while starting out the window at the sunset.

"yum yum yum" Zach says placing his plate down. "You literally devoured that." I laugh. He shrugs and pulls me into him, his strong arms engulfing me. I snuggle into him and he sighs out of relief. He pats my hair gently as I begin to dose off. "Sleep tight my angel" he says before my mind slips into a deep slumber.

*the next morning*

I wake up in my bed but with no Zach besides me. Thinking he's just gone home I make my way to the kitchen to grab a drink of water. "Morning baby" I hear Zach say. He was in the kitchen making pancakes, wearing my pink floral apron. I giggle at the sight and go towards him. Hugging him from behind while he makes his pancakes. "Sleep well?" He asks. I nod agaisnt his back. "I always sleep better when I'm cuddling you" he say. Zach coos at me and finishes up making us pancakes. He puts some syrup on them and wet sit at the breakfast bar. "Open" Zach says. I laughed open my mouth. Zach places in a piece of pancake and I moan at the taste. "Yummmy!" I say. "Thanks baby" he says before kissing my syrupy lips. "Can we cuddle and watch movies all day?" I ask. "Of course" Zach says picking me up out of my seat and throwing me onto the couch. I squeal as I land on the cushiony surface. Zach crawls on top of me and flops down. " Zachy! You are heavy" I whine. Zach laughs and flips us over so I'm now laying on top.

"I love you y/n" Zach says.
"I love you to Zach"
