A month passed. Yibo would ask Xiao Zhan to let him explain every morning. And Xiao Zhan would reject.

It's not that he didn't want to know why Yibo acted like that. Why he did lewd things with another girl and even kissed her while he was together with Xiao Zhan. And why he was making out with a different girl.

But more than that, Xiao Zhan was afraid. He was afraid if they were really misunderstandings, then how would he react? Would his heart want to go to Yibo? Then what would happen to Darren who had been there for him all the time and all this time?

Xiao Zhan wasn't confident he didn't love Yibo anymore. He always knew a part of him had always been reserved for Yibo. Hence, he would rather not listen to the explanation and not hurt the one who has been by his side all along, protecting him, encouraging him and loving him.

Today, the running club has a training camp with a school in the next city. Being the only two teachers in charge of the running club, Xiao Zhan has no choice but to sit with Yibo on the bus.

Yibo was grinning widely. "Zhan, do you want to eat? Are you bored? Do you want to play something? What have you been up to? Did you pack all your stuff? Did you get a sleeping bag?" Yibo asked non stop but Xiao Zhan continued ignoring him.

Xiao Zhan couldn't handle all the noisiness and turned around abruptly, just to come face to face with Yibo. Xiao Zhan froze at the closeness and Yibo also held his breath.

Xiao Zhan told himself to playcool. "Mr Wang, I. Want. To. Sleep." Xiao Zhan said before turning to face the window, calming his heart. Yibo smiled and whispered "That was close..."

Xiao Zhan closed his eyes trying to drift off to sleep when he felt something plugged into his ear. Then he heard the song he used to sing to Yibo.

It was Xiao Zhan's all-time favourite song and Xiao Zhan would always be singing or humming it. He would always make Yibo listen to him sing this song too. It held many feelings in it, "Wu Ji"

Yibo placed his jacket on Xiao Zhan, not knowing he is awake. Yibo quickly took a picture of them like that and smiled to himself.

Yibo stroked Xiao Zhan's hair while saying "Zhan, I love you. I did and I still do. If only you would let me explain"

Xiao Zhan's heart felt jumped but he reminded himself 'Darren...' Xiao Zhan slowly fell asleep, listening to the song, while laying on Yibo's shoulder.

Xiao Zhan wanted to move when Yibo laid his(XZ) head on his(YB) shoulder but letting Yibo know he was still awake was too embarrassing, hence he did not move.

In the late afternoon, Xiao Zhan felt himself being shaken around and woke up, just to find himself against Yibo's chest.

"W-What?! What's this?!" Xiao Zhan exclaimed as he struggled to get off. Yibo gently put him down "Well, you were sleeping too soundly so I carried you off"

Xiao Zhan looked around to see some of the students laughing and blushed, glared at Yibo, then stormed off. Yibo simply followed with a grin on his face.

It was time to pack up but it was raining heavily. Xiao Zhan having to make trips from the practice hall to the canteen, got drenched.

"Teacher Xiao, you're drenched!" FanXing exclaimed. Xiao Zhan smiled and waved it off. "Quick, you and PeiXin can go eat. I'll pack up."

"It's fine Teacher Xiao, we can handle it" FanXing said but Xiao Zhan pushed him and PeiXin out "Go eat! Don't be hungry, I'll do it."

"Thank you Teacher Xiao" FanXing and PeiXin said before PeiXin held FanXing's hand and pulled him, running through the rain to get to the canteen.

Xiao Zhan smiled, then remembered the first day Yibo let him in was when it was pouring heavily on the way home. Yibo grabbed Xiao Zhan's hand and ran straight to his house.

Xiao Zhan was very shy as this was the first time he entered Yibo's house. Yibo smiled "Since you're my best friend, you can come in. But you have to clean this dripping mess" Xiao Zhan was too excited "Yes! I will!"

Xiao Zhan shakes his head remembering it. He would agree that he was truly a willing slave for Yibo. But he's changed. Xiao Zhan thought about it and took out his phone.

It was picked up in less than a second "My Zhan! How are you doing?" Xiao Zhan smiled "Talu, I miss you"

"Aw, Zhan, that's unfair. You can only call me Talu when we're side by side. Now I don't get to kiss you" Darren complained.

Xiao Zhan giggled "Talu, Talu, Talu" Darren laughed too "Zhan, is your back not sore enough from last night? If you keep saying that, I'll appear and kidnap you and do bad things"

Xiao Zhan blushed "You meanie" Darren smiled "So? How is it so far?" Xiao Zhan sighed "It's fine but I really miss you"

"Me too, this is the first time we've separated in a while" Darren replied. Xiao Zhan smiled "It's all because my boyfriend refuses to leave me alone"

"It's all because my boyfriend needs me there" Darren replied and Xiao Zhan laughed "Yea, I need you. Miss you. My phone's out of battery, I just wanted to hear your voice"

"I miss you too. Stay safe okay? Call me if you need anything. Love you" Darren said and Xiao Zhan grinned "Mn, I will. L-"

The background was cut off and Xiao Zhan realised his phone had shut down. 'Sigh, I didn't get to say love you back. But I got to hear his voice'

Xiao Zhan felt energised as he quickly offed the lights and pushed it to the sports storage room beside the hall. Xiao Zhan was about to leave when... "W-What?! It doesn't open!"
