Rick had warned the people of what happened in the cell and now everyone is terrified or filled with anger. "We want to know who did this!" One yells. "What about my kids?" "You can't protect us!" Many shout different things causing everyone of us to go crazy. Rick pinches the bridge of his knows as everyone in the cafeteria yells at him.
"Hey!" I yell. "Can you all just listen for a damn moment? We are trying the best we can and your pointless comments are not helping!" People look at me and i over hear two people next to me. "Who's she?" "She's Rick's tag along girlfriend."
I point to them"You want to deal with this? You think it's easy trying to do what's best for you all?" Aron places a hand on my shoulder as he trues to calm me down. "You were never the one to speak outloud like this." I look at him. "Things have to change Aron. We aren't the same as we used to be." He sighs and shakes his head.
"You're acting like Rick." I eye him. "Is that suppose to be a bad thing?" Daryl buds in. "Well It's pretty damn good she is. We can't have some sensitive shits anymore." I give a half smile at Daryl until Rick speaks up again.
"We have five people as suspects. Now I'm not gonna name who, but as of now, there are two females and three males."
"Give us their names!" "I'll kill them all right now!" "Feed them to the walkers!"
"Can yall shut the hell up?! If you don't like whats happenin then you can take your sorry asses out of here. Ain't no body stoppin ya." I can see Daryl is finally fed up. Rick continues.
"We have new guidelines to follow from now on. You travel with somebody else. You are to never be alone. We will have one person in each cell block to watch it. And.." he stops himself. "Anybody who came from Woodbury please go to cell block B." that riles up the crowd up even more.
"Enough!" Rick yells. It startles me. I've never seen him this mad. "We're doing this to protect you all! This is the only way to find out who we're dealing with."
"How do you know the killer is from Woodbury?" He hesitates to tell them."They left a message on the wall wanting us to surrender, possibly being associated with the governor." After a few more arguements between all of us and people start splitting themselves.
Rick talks to Daryl, Glenn, Michonne, and Tyreese.
I turn to Aron not forgetting how he's acting.
"What has gotten into you?"
"Me? Look at you!"
"What about me Aron? I'm trying to do the best I can to protect my little brother and I'm getting lectured for it?"
Beth stands a few feet away with Carl and Judith.
"No. You're not doing it to protect me but to protect your boyfriend's kids and everybody else." I stand shocked. Carl looks at me with his mouth open as he just found out his dad and i have some sort of connection going on.
We are yelling by now and Rick and the others bud in. "I'm doing this for everyone. This isn't just about you Aron for Christ sakes. You're not the only one here!" I yell. Beth tries to stop Aron but he snaps at her. "Ay leave her be!" Daryl yells at Aron.
Hershel joins in trying to control everybody until he raises his voice.
"Everyone shut the hell up!" He breathes heavily. "You all need to calm down. we have enough going on as is. Now stop bickering and let's get back to what we have to do."
I nod my head at Aron trying to get him to see what he has done. "Our fights were never as bad as this."
"It wouldn't be if you weren't a cold hearted bitch." People are yelling ignoring Hershel's words.
"I've protected you and done so much for you and this is how you treat me?" I stand infront of Aron but Rick stands of the middle of us putting both hands to separate us. He yells at everyone. "I've had enough! Everyone out now!" I just stand there and watch everyone departure with Rick and his kids. I stand pissed at my own brother for making this day even more hectic.
"He was always a troubled kid."
"Drop it Iris. It happened and it's done forth."
"Am I being aimed the bad guy?"
"Don't patronize me. I'm just trying to stop this nonsense." I don't want him to pick sides but it hurts that he blames both of us. Am i not allowed to defend myself?
I stand frustrated at everyone.
Carl stands against the wall holding Judith just eyeing us. "How come you didn't tell me dad?" Rick looks at his son.
"About what?"
"About you and Iris?" Rick tries to comfort Carl but it doesn't happen. Instead he walks out of the room to where Hershel and Maggie stand on the other side of the doors.
Rick looks at me. "How?" Shaking my head i say. "Talk to Aron" I feel heartbroken, angry and stressed all at the same time. But Carl is pissed at his dad. I brush past Rick ignoring him from calling my name. I'm fed up with people.
Walking past the doors, i break the stupid rule and walk down the halls by myself.
