It's been days without hearing a peep from Rick. I just get these ocasional stares then it's just back to ignoring me.
"What's wrong Iris?" Maggie climbs up next to me as i take watch in the gaurd tower. Everybody is plunging pipes or knives into walkers skulls.
I don't answer Maggie right away. Instead, I glace at Rick farming until he notices me. "It's nothing." I say changing my direction.
"Oh come on. There is obviously something going on between you and Rick. Just spill the beans." I look at her.
"There is nothing go on between me and Rick." I look at a different spot this time trying to avoid her statement.
"Well I'm not leavin till you tell me." She says.
I sneak a peak and Rick and notice he too takes ocasional glances at me.i turn my attention towards Maggie who is now giving me the "I know what is is" look.
I turn to her. "When we went on that run supply, i told him what happened on the three years I was alone. Damn it he looks at me like im sort of monster or criminal i don't know. Just something that isn't me." I cover my face,hiding my shame.
"you're wrong. What ever you did would not see you as anything different. Everyone has done something to make them look insane but it doesn't matter in this world. Iris, just talk to him." Right away i tell her what i told Rick in exact detail,
"That doesn't change anything what I said." I sigh one last time. "But it can change the way someome thinks about me." I back up a little as i just rethink what i said. I care about the way someome thinks about me in this world? You've got to be kidding me.
"I'll take watch for you. It's about my switch anyways."
"Thank you Maggie. " i smile at her taking in her friendliness.
"Iris." I look to my right not noticing my brother standing there. "What are you doing?" He asks.
"I really don't know." I look at him remembering he asked what happened before i came here. How did i tell Rick before i told my brother.
"Listen i need to tell you something and i don't want you th-"
"I know." I think my heart just skips a beat. "You know what?"
"Rick told me when you were in your run, you had a meltdown about the past. I thought I'd be the one to know."
I stand there speechless. "Aron. Let me explain. "
"No." He walks away towards the field but turns around to me one last time.
"Are you really my sister?"
