[Romans POV]

"My god, all this waiting is going to utterly kill me if Patton doesn't get back already," I rolled my eyes as I laid across the sofa , sighing.
Patton had left to get our new roommate, 'Virgil', almost 40 minutes ago and they were still yet to return home. Me and Logan had been left by ourselves to wait for them, our only instructions being not to mess up the house Patton spent hours cleaning. Simple enough.
But in all honesty, I wasn't overtly thrilled to be greeting a new person into our apartment. We three functioned perfectly fine without a fourth. Just because we had a spare room doesn't mean it has to be occupied.
Needless to say, I knew before he even arrived that I would not take kindly to his presence.

I could hear Logan take a deep, almost exhausted sounding sigh in from across the room, "Roman, it's obvious to see you're quite... upset over this. But honestly, your reaction seems to be bordering childish here. Pattons probably just trying to help some kid who needs a place to stay. I find it hard to believe anything more will take place once he moves in," he spoke to me, clearly reluctantly, while not looking up from his book which he held in his hands. Logan was never the type of person to deal with emotions or how people are feeling, which is why I was quite shocked that he would even considering speaking to me about this.

"Well excuse me, but I don't remember asking you, Microsoft Nerd," I retaliated back with a harsh glare, "that comment was extremely out of the blue too yano?!"

"Hm? Was it really though? I don't mean to seem strange but you've never been one to... hide the way you're truly feeling. And due to that, it's quite easy to see how you feel just from facial expressions," He turned a page in his book, still refusing to look up to meet my eyes, "I honestly don't see how one introverted kid would cause any of us strife."

I visibly grit my teeth and repositioned myself so I was sat up on the sofa, my eyes glaring irritatedly over to him.
"So you're meaning to tell me not even you noticed how strange it is?! Don't pull that crap on me. Patton, someone who always considers everyone's feelings first before he makes any choice, invites a completely random stranger to live with us and only told us on the DAY?"

"I already said I find it strange, but I also have faith in Patton and his judgement to do what's best for us all," slight attitude found it's way into Logan's voice as he snapped his book shut and placed it down onto the nearest table to his side before proceeding to fold his arms across his chest, "it'll only upset Patton if you think he's lying to us all."

"I don't think he's lying to us! I just... think he's hiding part of the truth from us, and I'll make it my duty to find that truth out!" I declared, my tone getting more and more serious with every word I spoke.
"Roman, listen to me," he said in return sternly, "you have no basis to take your confusion out on the new kid. Speak to Patton privately if you have issues, alright? This isn't one of your stories or plays, this is real life, there isn't always some impending conflict that you need to combat away. We're getting a new roommate, end of."
And with that, Logan left the living room to wait somewhere else for Patton to return home.

That interaction between us was... strange to say the least. But honestly, it was all I had come to expect from Logan. He had never been that connected to his own emotions let alone other people's. He's the dictionary definition of a lone wolf in life. A top grading student who never failed a class. He just says what he sees, doesn't consider factoring emotions into the equation at all. It's always peculiar to interact with him, but that particular interaction just got me riled up somehow. He shouldn't act like he knows exactly how I'm feeling just from my expressions, it's completely rude of him! He can't read me like one of his dumb books.
