[POV Roman]

The seconds kept dragging on and on across the clock.

Patton and Logan had been out for maybe an hour at this point and there was no sign of Virgil leaving his room. I took a dreary sigh and dragged myself to the kitchen , rummaging through every cupboard I could see and through the fridge for any food that seemed to appeal to me in the moment. Ugh. Nothing. Curse me for constantly having such specific cravings.

A moment of pondering later and I had landed on a completely genius idea. Calling a delivery guy to deliver pizza. Perfect, if I do say so myself. And I do say so.

I was about to pick up my phone and dial the number when a thought flashed through my head, causing me to pause in my movement. Did Virgil want anything? I mean, I could just order a pizza and then invite him to take a piece, but what if he had certain dietary restrictions or he was vegan or veggie or something-? About a million worries and possibilities flew past my mind a second. I could always just not ask him or not invite him to take some food but then what if he just doesn't eat for the rest of the night? I mean, i've heard Patton remind him to eat quite a few times since he moved in. Enough times to raise an eyebrow at at least.

Alright Roman, just, calm your mind. No reason to over worry.

Theres a clear simple answer here.

Just ASK him what he wants.

If he wants pizza with you, thats great, if he doesn't, thats also alright. Don't force him to eat, just tell Patton when he gets home that Virgil refused to eat with you.

Everything is okay.

Alright, thats a good middle ground answer. It wasn't very typical of me to be feeling such nerve over a simple decision, but there was still something about that kid. A certain familiarity. Like i'd seen him before. I had no clue where or how or when, but I couldn't shake the feeling that I had some sort of memory with him hidden away in my mind. The type of memory that gets further away the more you reach out to it, you had to let the memory come to you, but every second you couldn't remember was a second that made you want to reach out even further and further until you fell into a hole of never finding the truth.

But that wasn't the issue at hand. The issue at hand was pizza.

Walking down the corridor that led to his room, I nervously tapped my fist repeatedly against the pale wood door that blocked of the inside of the room from the rest of the house and waited. Until finally, the door started to creek open.
