Part 14 - Messages

[POV Roman]

I stood pacing back and fourth in my room for what seemed like hours now, when I reality it was probably only about half an hour. I was nervous to Olympus and back!
Logan had left with Patton to go help their friend awhile ago, and here I was, waiting for a call.
Or to be more specific, a call back. I had performed an audition to be part of my theatre company's new production and people were getting notified if they had been casted today. I managed to get past the first & second call back, but I was yet to land a place in the official cast yet and the twisting pit of anxiety still existed in my stomach, worrying that I wouldn't receive the news I was hoping for today.

After only a few more minutes of waiting, I heard the text notification ring from my phone. I could have sworn I had a mini heart attack right there & then just hearing the noise, immediately diving over to my phone. Holding the device in my hand, I checked to see what the message said.
But, I can't lie when I say I wasn't expecting to read what my phone was displaying before me.

It wasn't a message from my theatre company, instead, it was from my twin brother.
Remus.

Me and Remus hadn't spoke in months, which probably meant he needed something from me.

Homeless now? You've been kicked out so much and had so many arguments it really wouldn't shock me-

But I've moved into a new apartment, so I'll message you the new address in a sec-

And with that, I messaged him my new address and placed my phone into my pocket. My conversation with Virgil flashed in my mind for a moment.
I can still be a good brother.
Who knows, maybe I can try make things better between us permanently.
But to do that, it would probably have to start with me convincing him to move out of his current house that he shares with this complete creep, no offence to him.
The one time I crashed round Remus' place, I only saw one of his roommates briefly but it was so strange. I don't remember much of it, but what I do remember from that day is the intense, deadly glare his roommate possessed. Plus, as far as I knew, Remus had two roomates, which confused me as to why I had never seen the other guy.
If I'm being honest, his house seemed kinda controlling. But hey, who am I to say, I hadn't seen him in ages so I guess him and his roommates deserved the benefit of the doubt.

For now, I just needed to make sure he was ok, especially since he told me he was beat up the night before? How does he even get in theses situations in the first place is my question.

I made sure to double check that I still had my phone with me before heading out of my room. I did not want to miss the call, no matter the circumstances that were revealing themselves. But for now, waiting is all I can do.

Oops, three chapters published in a day. Sorry if this one isn't written too well ^_^ Hopefully either next chapter or in a few more chapters, things will pick up & get better. Everything's coming together >:)
