"Mom?" It has been hours since she sat on the couch yet she's still silent. I sat beside her and glanced at her for awhile. I am pondering the unseen reason for my mother's reaction after unveiling the name of Terrence's mom.
Does it has something to do with her past? My mom has been my closest one but I never lurked the silhouette of her bygone.
"Is there something wrong? Do you know Terrence's Mom?" I do not mean to barge nor do I wanted to interfere with her thoughts but seeing her like this which I have never witnessed in my life is a bothersome.
She heaved a deep sigh and looked at me. "Do not go near him again hmm? Her Mom. She's.. she's just not like other good people, Ezekiel." She uttered with a flinch of pain across her eyes.
"That means I can't invite Terrence for my birthday, can I?" She smiled painfully and brushed her soft fingers through my hair. "All I want is what's best for you and I think, this is for the best."

I was dribbling my ball, strolling my way upstairs when I heard my father's voice from his office. "I assure you, I no longer have any communication with her, Hon." My forehead creased upon hearing such conversation. Is this has something to do with his mom?
