Julian: I am at work currently so if I don't reply, you know why.

Julian closed his phone after messaging Dom who he had been messaging back and forth with for a couple weeks now. They learned a lot about each other in those couple weeks.

Julian and Lori were still together, but Julian was starting to drift. Lori had been getting clingy, which was driving Julian a little insane. He felt horrible too for the fact that he was tired of kissing her all the time. He felt nothing, and poor Kara had to be the go to of his complaints about it. She saw it coming though.

Julian felt bad for complaining about his relationship, because he really did care about Lori. She was so wonderful and sweet, but she just wasn't the one he thought about when he closed his eyes at night. Which also killed him on the inside, because he knew she should have been.

The work day was slow during the day but picked up in the afternoon all the way to closing time. Julian knew he had to rush home and get ready for his date tonight with Lori. After he helped Kara with closing time, he headed straight home to wash up.

After he got out of the shower, he checked his phone quickly. There was a message from Lori and Dom. He chose Dom's first.

Dom: I'm coming to L.A. next week! My girlfriend and I need to spend some time together. It's been too long. If you wanna meet up while I'm there?

Julian couldn't contain the excitement boiling inside him. He quickly replied.

Julian: Yeah, sure! I'm down.

He didn't want to sound too desperate, though he definitely was.

Then Julian opened Lori's message.

Lori: Hey baby, I'm excited for tonight!! 😍 See you at my house around 10:30!

Julian: See you soon. 😜

-

Julian knocked on Lori's door. Almost immediately the door opened and Lori was standing there. She was all dolled up like always when they were together, but she always made herself extra special looking when they were going on a date. He thought it was cute.

"Hey!" She exclaimed. She shouted bye to her mom and shut the door.

As they walked to Julian's car, she asked, "What movie are we seeing at the drive in again?"

They both climbed into the car before he answered. "I was thinking something scary."

"Perfect." She said with a smile.

As they sat in the car watching the movie, Julian held her close. Lori loved breathing in his scent. It was one of her favorite things and she always made sure to get in as close as she could to him so she could go home with his scent on her.

Buzz. Buzz.

Julian's phone went off. He knew he shouldn't answer while watching a film, let alone on a date, but he couldn't help it. He had been waiting for Dom to reply to him all day. He opened his phone and clicked on the message from Dom.

Dom: SoOoO, change of plans. I'm coming in for tomorrow!

Julian's jaw dropped, but he kept reading.

Dom: The lady wants me to come sooner. Guess she's missing me. Lol. Let me know when you would be available. I'm sure I'll need some guy time.
