Ch: 12 Frustrated Silence

Dom: I landed. I'm here with Ash. We are going to go on our first outing together in a long time. I'll text you in a bit.

Julian: Yeah man. Of course. Have a good time. Get an autograph for me! 😂 Jokes.

Julian closed his phone and sat next to Kara who was reading a book on his bed. She looked up from her reading and noticed the obvious stress in Julian's face.

"What's up, Bubbs?" Kara asked, " And don't tell me nothing."

Julian sighed and sat himself down at the edge of his bed. Kara closed her book and waited for Julian to continue.

"I just... I don't know. Dom is here." Julian said.

"What! That's awesome! So why the face?" She was growing more curious.

Julian shook his head slowly, "I like him a lot. We have been talking non stop since I text him that one day. He is the most interesting person I've ever met."

"Hey!" Kara took her book and smacked Julian on the shoulder with it.

"Ow! Of course excluding you, asshole!"

Kara smiled proudly, "That's right! So, what I'm grasping here is that you are infatuated with Dom, but you aren't feeling this way with Lori like you should beings you're together?"

Julian layed back on his bed and stared at his ceiling, "Exactly. She wanted to... you know... last night."

"Oh my god what! And?" Kara shot up with excitement.

"No. It didn't happen, but it could have."

"Yeah? How did you make it out of that one?"

"I-" he began, but Kara cut him off immediately.

"Lied." She finished the sentence for him.

Julian sighed, "Yeah. Am I a bad person, Kara?" He looked over at her.

Her eyes were telling him the sadness she felt for him.

"Listen Babe, this situation is kind of your fault, BUT that doesn't make you a bad person. It's just a mistake and you'll learn from it eventually."

"But now what am I gonna do?" Julian asked.

"Have you ever been with a woman before?" Kara asked, though she already knew the answer.

"No. You know that." Julian stated.

"I do, but just wanted to be sure. Now, I know you're gay, but you are in a relationship with a female. You have never been with a woman or even a man before. Not even kissed a dude. You've kissed girls though. So, maybe you should be with a woman. With Lori. See how it is for you. It's good to try everything at least once. As long as it won't kill you." Kara smiled.

"Yeah. I guess you're right, but... she isn't supposed to be my test subject."

"Well, don't think of it like that. I mean, you 2 are already romantically involved. The next big thing is sex. If you don't do it soon, there's going to be some major issues within the relationship. She is going to think its her. Don't do that to her. Either break it off with her and tell her the truth OR give her a real chance."

Julian let out another sigh. "Life sucks. Then you die."

"Too right you are, Julian."

Julian: Hey man! Just checking in. Figured I'd let you know I get out of work on Saturday around 5pm, if you wanna do something then. Just let me know. Hope your visit with Ash is going well!
