Croissant and Kai who had escape was sitting under a tree hiding.
"Where should we go, Kai?" Croissant said excitingly.
"I can't believe what just happen" Kai mumbled.
"What was that?" Croissant ask as she couldn't hear him.
"Oh, no, I just can't believe you m-m-mock Katakuri-sama" Kai said stuttering.
"That was because I have known him for quite some time now" Croissant said gathering her knee to her chest.
"Not because you're his wife?" Kai asked
"Well that one of it too I guess, but even if I didn't become his wife I would still act the same." Croissant said.
"Can I ask you one thing, Croissant-sama?" Kai asked.
Croissant hummed in response slightly tilting her head to see the small figure beside her.
"Well, you know, like husband and wife, they k-ki-kiss right?" he shyly said.
"Wellhowdoyoukisshimwiththatbigscarfaroundhisface" he ask quickly with one breath.
"Huh?" Croissant looked confused.
"Don't tell me, he doesn't have a mouth?" Kai suddenly became serious
Croissant burst out laughing while Kai still had a serious expression.
"I won't answer you first question, but for the second one the answer is he does have a mouth" Croissant said as she lifted herself up from the ground.
"Let's go, I want to look around." Croissant said.
Kai nodded, the both of them walked around after seeing Flour Town with no Katakuri. Croissant greeted the people who Kai introduced, they were friendly but some were still wary.
The both had stopped at Kai's home, her mother was still wary of Croissant, but she knew Croissant didn't mean any harm.
"I can't believe it, I told you to go straight why did you turn, Croissant-sama?!" Kai yelled.
"And before that, I went left, why didn't you follow me, why did you went right?!!" He yelled again.
"Kai! How could you yell at Katakuri-sama's wife??!" His mom yelled at him pinching his cheek.
"No, it's fine, Mam, It's fine" Croissant said calming the woman down.
"Please call me Clover, Croissant-sama, I am really sorry about my child, he can get out of hand sometimes" The woman named Clover said.
The sun was about to set, seeing that Croissant decided to head back to the castle, not before Kai sarcastically ask. "Can you even get back?"
"Are you worried about me boy?" Croissant ask back laughing.
"I-I-" Kai was flustered, because he wasn't really worried, he just wanted to make fun of her, but after she ask, he thought twice
"I got Ares with me, It's fine" Croissant said slightly chuckling
Croissant bowed politely towards the two, they became flustered, at Totto Land, Big Mom's children were consider royalty, as Big Mom herself was a queen a ruler. So they didn't expected the girl to lowered her head.
Not just to them, when Croissant passed by any townspeople she would also greet and bid farewell to them. She knew now that her wariness from the past was cause by her own self, the past her felt weak, that's why she was wary.
The townspeople were wary and scared of her because they were afraid they couldn't protect themselves. That's why she wanted to be the person to protect them. And if they were afraid of her, she would have failed.
