It was dark
Nothing could be heard
Nor could be seen
She was alone in the dark
She began running
Calling her dear ones
But there was no answer
She slumped down
Sitting down
As she pulled her leg to her knee
She cried asking for help.
Then she could feel warmth engulfing her hand.
"Please wake up, Cro.."
She could hear a voice
She knew that voice
It was Katakuri

"Ka..ta..?" Croissant mumbled as her eyes began focusing on the man in front of her who was holding her hand with both of his.
Without saying anything, Katakuri immediately hug her pulling her off the bed. Careful not to hug to tightly.
The moment Croissant remember what had happen, she began crying in his shoulder.
"I-m *sniff so so-sorry" She said in between his hug.
"Beca-because of me, our c-" Before she could finished, Katakuri had slammed his lips to hers, kissing her passionately.
"It wasn't your fault" Katakuri said after breaking the kiss.
"But because of me *sniff, we won't have a family" Croissant said between sniffled.
"You are my family, it may not be complete, but I'm fine as long as your beside me"
"We can go through this together" Katakuri said as he ended with a kiss on her forehead.
Croissant continued crying for a while before Katakuri parted with her to called the doctor. Ares was not there because Brulee had taken him to cleaned because for 3 months straight he didn't take care of himself.
The moment Brulee and Ares return and saw Croissant was awake, they broke down in tears. And they immediately jump to her for a hug. The doctor came not long after with Perospero. Being close with Whole Cake Island, Perospero frequently visited.
It was a bit of shock to know that she was asleep for 3 months when the doctor informed. The doctor didn't see anymore problem and said that she just needed rest. So the siblings left her room.
Katakuri saw just a glimpsed but he definitely saw Croissant's expression turned sad the moment they left. It was a difficult lost for her to handle just yet.
It was too soon for her to forget, but Katakuri hoped she won't think of anything reckless.

The next few days, Croissant rested on her bed, Katakuri would stay beside her very often. Others would come to see her too.
After a week..
Croissant sat up on bed while pulling her leg to her chest burying her face in between when Katakuri went to find her in the morning.
"Did you not sleep?" Katakuri asked leaning to kiss her temple
"I slept enough" Croissant said smiling a little.
